3. Setup and Installation
This Frigidaire washer is designed for freestanding installation. Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance and safety.
Unpacking and Placement
- Remove all packaging materials, including the shipping bolts and foam base.
- Place the washer on a firm, level floor.
- Use the adjustable leveling legs to ensure the washer is stable and level.
Water and Drain Connections
- Connect the hot and cold water inlet hoses to the corresponding valves and to the back of the washer. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Attach the included drain hose to the washer and secure it to a standpipe or laundry tub. Ensure the drain hose is properly secured to prevent dislodging during operation.
Electrical Connection
- The washer requires a 120 Volt, 60 Hz, 15 Amp electrical supply.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove the grounding prong or use an adapter.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective and efficient use of your Frigidaire top load washer.
Loading the Washer
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and soil level.
- Load items loosely into the wash drum. Do not overload the washer to ensure proper cleaning and rinsing.
Adding Detergent and Additives
- Open the detergent drawer located on the top of the washer.
- Add liquid or powder detergent to the main wash compartment.
- Add fabric softener to its designated compartment.

- Bulky: For large, heavy items such as comforters or jackets.
- Quick Wash: For small, lightly soiled loads that need to be washed quickly (approx. 30 minutes).
- Rinse & Spin: For rinsing and spinning items without a full wash cycle.
- Clean Washer: A cycle designed to clean the washer tub.
Customizing Your Wash
Use the touch controls to select additional options:
- MaxFill: Activates maximum water level for heavily soiled loads.
- Delay Start: Delays the start of the wash cycle for a set amount of time.
- Extra Rinse: Adds an additional rinse cycle.
- Child Lock: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes.
- End Of Cycle Signal: Activates an audible signal when the cycle is complete.
- Time Remaining Display: Shows the estimated time left in the current cycle.
- Favorite Cycle: Allows you to save and recall your preferred wash settings.
Starting the Wash
Press the Start/Pause button to begin the selected wash cycle. The display will show the estimated time remaining.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your washer.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser
- Periodically remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer to prevent buildup.
- Rinse with warm water and a brush, then dry thoroughly before reinserting.
Cleaning the Washer Tub
- Use the dedicated 'Clean Washer' cycle with a washer cleaner or bleach to remove residue and odors.

Water Inlet Hoses
- Inspect water inlet hoses for cracks, kinks, or bulges every few months.
- Replace hoses every 5 years, or sooner if signs of wear are present.
6. Troubleshooting

Washer Does Not Start
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a live electrical outlet.
- Check if the circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown.

Washer Does Not Fill or Fills Slowly

Washer Does Not Drain or Spin

Excessive Vibration or Noise

- Make sure all shipping materials have been removed.
- Redistribute the laundry inside the drum to balance the load.
