Setup and Fit

Proper helmet fit is critical for safety and comfort.

Sizing and Fit Check:

  1. Measure your head circumference to select the appropriate size.
  2. The helmet should fit snugly around your head, with no excessive movement when shaken.
  3. Cheek pads should press firmly against your cheeks.
  4. Ensure your vision is unobstructed and the helmet does not cause pressure points.

Chin Strap Adjustment:

The chin strap must be securely fastened using the D-ring system. Ensure it is tight enough so that the helmet cannot be rolled off your head, but not so tight as to cause discomfort or restrict breathing.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Exterior:

Use a soft cloth and mild soap with lukewarm water to clean the helmet's exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish or shell material.

Cleaning the Interior:

The crown and cheek pads are removable and washable. Hand wash them with mild soap and water, then air dry completely before reinserting into the helmet.

Visor and Sun Shield Care:

Clean the visor and sun shield with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive materials or window cleaners, as these can damage the anti-scratch and anti-fog coatings.

Storage:

Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from scratches and dust.

Troubleshooting

  • Fogging Visor: Ensure the visor is clean. Consider installing an optional Pinlock anti-fog lens if persistent fogging occurs.
  • Discomfort/Pressure Points: Re-check helmet sizing and fit. Ensure cheek pads are correctly installed. If discomfort persists, the helmet size or shape may not be suitable for your head.
  • Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure all vents are closed if you wish to reduce airflow. Check that the visor is fully closed and sealed.
