4. Setup
Before first use, ensure the included battery is properly installed and charged.
4.1. Battery Installation
- Unscrew the head of the flashlight counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment.
- Insert the included 14500 Li-ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Screw the head back on clockwise until it is securely tightened.

4.2. Charging the Battery
The included 14500 battery features a built-in USB Type-C charging port. To charge:
- Remove the battery from the flashlight.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the battery's charging port.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The battery's indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for full).

5. Operating Instructions
The TAC AA 2.0 features a tactical tail switch for easy operation and mode selection.
5.1. Basic Operation
- Turn On/Off: Fully press the tail switch to turn the flashlight on or off.
- Momentary On: Half-press the tail switch for momentary illumination. Release to turn off.
5.2. Mode Switching
The flashlight offers 6 lighting modes. To cycle through modes, half-press the tail switch while the light is on. The flashlight has memory function and will turn on in the last used mode if it has been off for more than 3 seconds.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ACEBEAM TAC AA 2.0 flashlight.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the threads and O-rings with a clean cloth. Lubricate the threads with professional-grade lubricant periodically to maintain smooth operation and waterproofing.
- O-Ring Replacement: The package includes spare O-rings. Replace them if you notice any wear or damage to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a dry, cool place when not in use for extended periods. Recharge the battery regularly to prevent deep discharge.
- Switch Maintenance: The tail switch is designed for durability. If the rubber cap shows signs of wear, it can be replaced with the spare provided.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your flashlight, refer to the common problems and solutions below:
- Light does not turn on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check if the battery is inserted with the correct polarity (positive end towards the head).
- Tighten the head and tail cap securely. Loose connections can prevent operation.
- Light flickers or turns off unexpectedly:
- Clean the battery contacts and threads. Dirt or debris can interfere with electrical contact.
- Ensure the battery is not low. Recharge if necessary.
- Check for physical damage to the flashlight or battery.
- Reduced brightness or beam distance:
- This may indicate a low battery level. Recharge the battery.
- Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges or debris.
- The flashlight may step down in brightness to prevent overheating, which is normal behavior for high output modes.
8. Warranty and Support
ACEBEAM offers a 5-year warranty on the TAC AA 2.0 flashlight from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship. Batteries are typically covered for a period of 1 year.
