3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting the Switch Panel

The AS-R40 Slim Switch Panel features a single-row layout designed for space-saving installation. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally in various locations within your vehicle. Consider accessibility and visibility when choosing a mounting spot.

3.2 Wiring Connection

The system is designed to simplify wiring by consolidating connections through a central circuit control box. Connect the positive and negative wires of your electrical equipment to the designated wiring ports on the circuit control box. The included 10ft wiring harness provides flexibility for installation in various locations.

3.3 Connecting the ACC Fuse

To ensure the switch panel operates correctly with your vehicle's ignition:

Connect the red ACC Fuse wire to the provided fuse adapter.
Open the ACC gear in your vehicle and verify that the ACC fuse in the car is powered.
Remove the original car's ACC Fuse, insert the fuse adapter, and then reinsert the entire fuse adapter into the original ACC Fuse position.

This connection ensures the switch system stops working when the vehicle is powered off, preventing battery drain.

3.4 Applying Stickers

The kit includes 60 stickers to label your switches according to the connected accessories. Gently pry open the existing sticker with a sharp tool if you need to change it.

4.1 Lighting Modes

TOGGLE Mode: Indicated by a red light. Provides steady and constant lighting for accessories like light bars.
MOMENTARY Mode: Indicated by a blue light. Activates only when the switch is pressed, suitable for devices like horns.
PULSED Mode: Indicated by a green light. Allows control over the flashing frequency of lights or devices, creating a strobe effect.

4.2 RGB Backlight Customization

The AS-R40 allows for unlimited RGB backlight color options to match your vehicle's interior LED lights or decorations. You can customize the colors to suit your preferences.

4.3 Smart Backlight Adjustment

The switch panel features an automatic light sensor that adjusts backlight brightness based on the surrounding environment, reducing visual distraction. A MODE button is included for easy backlight toggling. If the backlight is too intense in dark conditions, it can be manually turned off to reduce eye strain.

The central ON/OFF button primarily functions as a memory control. It allows you to fully close and fully open all devices currently in use with a single press. This memory function remains active even after the car is parked and turned off, restoring your previous settings when the car is started again.

Waterproof Rating: The unit has an IP65 waterproof rating, ensuring protection against dust and low-pressure water jets.

6. Troubleshooting

Switch Panel Not Working When Vehicle is Off: This is by design. The ACC fuse connection ensures the system stops working when the car is off to prevent battery drain.
Desire for Constant Power (Panel On When Vehicle Off): To achieve this, connect the red ACC wire directly to the battery. However, this is not recommended as it will consume battery power and may lead to a drained battery.
Devices Not Turning On After Power Restoration: After the vehicle's power is restored (e.g., after starting the car), you still need to press the ON/OFF button on the switch panel to activate the accessories. This design ensures the battery provides sufficient power to start the car before powering accessories.
