Control Buttons:
- ▲ (Up Arrow): Used to increase values during time setting or navigate menu options.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer (refer to Figure 3.2).
- Slide the battery compartment cover open.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the timer, slide the ON/OFF switch on the back of the device to the 'ON' position.
- To turn off the timer, slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.
5. Operating Instructions
The YS 902 chess timer offers simplified operation for various game modes.
5.1 Setting the Time
- Ensure the timer is powered on.
- Press and hold the ⏱ (Mode/Clock) button for a few seconds until the time display starts flashing, indicating it's in setting mode.
- Use the ▲ (Up Arrow) and ▼ (Down Arrow) buttons to adjust the hours, minutes, and seconds for each player. Press ⏱ (Mode/Clock) to move between hours, minutes, and seconds.
- Once the desired time is set for both players, press the ⏻ (Power Button) to confirm and exit the setting mode.
5.2 Selecting Game Modes
The timer supports basic, bonus, and delay modes. These are indicated on the central part of the display.
- In setting mode, after setting the initial time, you can press ⏱ (Mode/Clock) repeatedly to cycle through different game modes (e.g., Basic, Bonus, Delay).
- Use the ▲ (Up Arrow) and ▼ (Down Arrow) buttons to adjust the bonus or delay time if applicable for the selected mode.
- Press ⏻ (Power Button) to confirm the mode and exit setting.
5.3 Starting and Pausing the Game
- After setting the time and mode, press the ⏸ (Play/Pause) button to start the game. The active player's time will begin to count down.
- To pause the game at any time, press the ⏸ (Play/Pause) button again. The display will freeze.
- Press ⏸ (Play/Pause) once more to resume the game.
5.4 Audible Alarm Function
The timer features an audible alarm to signal the end of a player's time.
- The alarm can typically be toggled on or off during the time setting process or via a dedicated setting option (if available, consult the display for indicators).
- When a player's time runs out, the alarm will sound (if enabled) and their display will show '0:00:00'.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the surface or internal components.
6.2 Battery Replacement
