Setup and Initial Adjustment

Adjusting the Metal Band

The metal band can be adjusted by removing or adding links. It is recommended to remove links equally from both sides of the band to maintain balance. For example, if you need to remove 4 sections, remove 2 from the left side and 2 from the right side.

1. Wrist Watch Try-On Test: Before adjusting, try on the watch to determine the approximate number of links to remove for a comfortable fit.
2. Using the Removal Tool: Place the metal band on the removal tool, aligning the tool's thimble with the pinhole on the watch link.
3. Pushing Out Pins: Rotate the "round head unforked" thimble to push the link pin out. Repeat this step for each pin you need to remove.
4. Reconnecting the Band: Once the desired number of links are removed, reconnect the metal band. Reinstall the link pin in the direction of the eject. Use the disassembly tool to align the link at the fork and carefully rotate the ejector pin to push the link pin into the flush with the side of the metal band.
5. Final Check: Ensure the band is firmly connected and secure. Save any disassembled band links as they may be useful in the future.

Setting Time and Date

To set the time, pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the furthest position and rotate it to adjust the hands. Push the crown back in to start the watch. To set the date, pull the crown out to the first click and rotate it to change the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
