Controls and Functions

  • Built-in (Wireless Indicator): Lights up when wireless audio is connected.
  • AUX VOL: Adjusts the volume of external audio connected via the AUX IN jack.
  • GAIN: Controls the input signal strength. Higher gain adds more saturation and distortion, while lower gain provides a cleaner sound.
  • TONE: Adjusts the tonal characteristics of your sound, from brighter (clockwise) to warmer (counter-clockwise).
  • OFF/POWER VOL: This knob serves as both the power switch and the master volume control for the amplifier. Turn clockwise to power on and increase volume; turn counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.
  • CLEAN/DRIVE Switch: Toggles between the clean channel (green LED) and the drive channel (red LED).
  • INPUT: 6.35mm jack for connecting your electric guitar.

  • DC 5V (USB-C Charging Port): Connect the provided USB-C cable for charging.
  • Headphone Output: 3.5mm jack for connecting headphones for silent practice.
  • AUX IN: 3.5mm jack for connecting external audio sources (e.g., smartphone, tablet).

Setup

  1. Initial Charging: Before first use, fully charge the amplifier using the provided USB-C cable. The blue indicator light will be on during charging and turn off when fully charged. A red light indicates low battery.
  2. Power On: Turn the OFF/POWER VOL knob clockwise until it clicks and the LED indicator lights up.
  3. Connect Guitar: Plug your electric guitar into the INPUT jack using a 6.35mm instrument cable.
  4. Connect External Audio (Optional): To play along with music, connect your audio device to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable. Adjust the AUX VOL knob to control the external audio level.
  5. Wireless Audio Pairing (Optional): Activate Bluetooth on your external audio device and search for "FBA-10". Select to pair. The "Built-in" indicator will light up when connected.

Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting Volume: Use the OFF/POWER VOL knob to set the overall output volume of the amplifier.
  2. Selecting Tone Mode: Press the CLEAN/DRIVE switch to toggle between the clean channel (green LED) and the drive channel (red LED).
  3. Adjusting Gain: In either mode, use the GAIN knob to control the amount of signal saturation. For a cleaner sound, keep the gain lower. For a fuller, punchier, or more distorted sound (especially in Drive mode), increase the gain.
  4. Adjusting Tone: Use the TONE knob to fine-tune the brightness or warmth of your guitar's sound.
  5. Silent Practice: Plug headphones into the Headphone Output jack. The amplifier's speaker will mute automatically.

Charging and Battery Life

  • The FBA-10 amplifier is equipped with a USB-C rechargeable battery.
  • A full charge provides up to 6 hours of playtime.
  • Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to the DC 5V port on the rear of the amplifier and to a suitable USB power source.
  • The blue indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off once the battery is fully charged.
  • A red indicator light signifies a low battery level.

Wireless Connectivity

  • The amplifier supports Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless audio streaming.
  • To connect, enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop and select "FBA-10" from the available devices.
  • The "Built-in" indicator light on the amplifier's front panel will illuminate when a successful wireless connection is established.
  • Adjust the AUX VOL knob to control the volume of the streamed audio.

Maintenance

  • Keep the amplifier clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the amplifier in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping the amplifier or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Ensure all cables are properly connected and disconnected to prevent damage to the ports.

Troubleshooting

  • No Sound: Ensure the amplifier is powered on, the volume is turned up, and your guitar is properly connected. Check guitar volume and cable integrity.
  • Noise on Drive Channel: A slight background hiss is normal due to the nature of drive circuits. To minimize noise, avoid using the amp at low battery levels or while it is charging, as unstable power supply can make the hiss more noticeable.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure the amplifier is within range of your device and not connected to another device. Try restarting both the amplifier and your Bluetooth device.
  • Low Volume: Check the master volume (OFF/POWER VOL) and the volume on your guitar. If using AUX IN, check the AUX VOL knob and the volume on your external device.
