3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Keyboard

The keyboard is equipped with a 3750mAh battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the keyboard before first use.

  • Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  • Charging typically takes 6-8 hours. A full charge can provide over 200 hours of usage.

3.2 Connection Modes

The Womier SK65 supports three connection modes: USB-C Wired, 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0.

3.2.1 USB-C Wired Connection

  1. Ensure the keyboard is charged.
  2. Connect the USB-A to USB-C cable from your computer to the keyboard's USB-C port.
  3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your system.

3.2.2 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver (dongle) in the package.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. On the keyboard, press Fn + R to switch to 2.4GHz mode. The keyboard will connect automatically.

3.2.3 Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

  1. On the keyboard, press Fn + Q/W/E to select one of three Bluetooth channels. The indicator light will flash, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, phone), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Womier SK65" from the list of devices to pair.
  4. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Multimedia Knob Functionality

The dedicated knob on the keyboard provides convenient control over media volume:

  • Rotate clockwise to increase volume.
  • Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
  • Press the knob to mute/unmute audio.

4.2 RGB Backlighting Control

The keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting. Use the following key combinations to adjust lighting effects:

  • Fn + |: Switch between different lighting effects.
  • Fn + ]}: Adjust the lighting color.
  • Fn + ↑ / ↓: Adjust the lighting brightness.
  • Fn + ← / →: Adjust the lighting speed.
  • Fn + Win: Lock/unlock the Windows key.
  • Fn + Space: Turn on/off the backlight.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's appearance and functionality:

  • Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources and devices.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and case. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air or a small brush.

5.2 Hot-Swappable Switches and Keycaps

The Womier SK65 features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy customization without soldering. It supports 3/5 pin mechanical switches.

  1. Removing Keycaps: Use the keycap puller to gently lift keycaps straight up.
  2. Removing Switches: Use the switch puller to carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up.
  3. Installing Switches: Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB. Press down gently until the switch clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
  4. Installing Keycaps: Place the keycap over the switch stem and press down firmly.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Ensure the keyboard is charged.
  • Check the connection mode: If using wired, ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected. If wireless, ensure the 2.4GHz dongle is plugged in or Bluetooth is paired.
  • Try restarting your computer or device.
  • Test the keyboard on a different device or with a different USB port/cable.

6.2 Backlight Issues

  • Ensure the backlight is not turned off (press Fn + Space).
  • Adjust brightness using Fn + ↑ / ↓.
  • If specific keys are not lighting up, check if the switches are properly seated or if there's a software setting affecting them.

6.3 Connectivity Drops

  • For 2.4GHz, ensure the dongle is not obstructed and is close to the keyboard.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure no other devices are interfering and the keyboard is within range. Re-pair the device if necessary.
  • Check battery level; low battery can affect wireless stability.
