1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.

5.1. Control Panel Overview

The control panel includes a digital display and several function buttons:

  • AJUSTAR TEMPO (Adjust Time): Used to manually set or adjust cooking time.
  • TIMER: Sets a delayed start time for cooking.
  • ARROZ (Rice): Pre-programmed setting for cooking rice (with options for short, standard, long grain).
  • CARNE FRANGO (Meat/Chicken): Pre-programmed setting for meat and poultry.

5.2. Basic Cooking Steps

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place your ingredients and liquid into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (2/3 full, or 1/2 full for expanding foods).
  2. Place Inner Pot: Insert the inner pot into the main unit.
  3. Close Lid: Place the lid on the pressure cooker, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the main unit. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the safety lock is engaged.
  4. Set Steam Release Valve: Turn the steam release valve to the "Sealing" position (usually pointing away from the vent).
  5. Select Program: Plug in the appliance. Press the desired pre-programmed function button (e.g., ARROZ, CARNE FRANGO). The display will show the default cooking time.
  6. Adjust Time (Optional): If needed, press "AJUSTAR TEMPO" to modify the cooking duration.
  7. Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin the preheating process, then start cooking. The display will count down the cooking time.
  8. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode. To release pressure, carefully turn the steam release valve to the "Venting" position. WARNING: Hot steam will be released. Keep hands and face away from the valve.
  9. Open Lid: Once all pressure has been released (the float valve drops down), rotate the lid counter-clockwise and lift to open.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure cooker.

6.1. Daily Cleaning

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Inner Pot: Wash the non-stick inner pot with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry. It is dishwasher safe.
  • Lid: Wash the lid, including the sealing ring and steam release valve, with warm, soapy water. Pay attention to food residue around the sealing ring and valve. Rinse well and air dry.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.

6.2. Periodic Maintenance

  • Sealing Ring: Inspect the silicone sealing ring regularly for cracks, deformation, or damage. Replace if necessary, as a damaged ring can affect pressure sealing.
  • Steam Release Valve: Ensure the steam release valve is clear of any food debris. It can be detached for deeper cleaning if needed.

Storage: Store the pressure cooker in a dry place. You may place the lid upside down on the inner pot to prevent odors and allow air circulation.
