6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device not recognized by Mac mini. | Loose connection, incorrect port, driver issue. | Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the Minidock's "PC IN" port and a Thunderbolt/USB-C port on your Mac mini. Try a different USB-C cable. Restart your Mac mini. |
| HDMI display not working. | Loose HDMI cable, incorrect input on monitor, incompatible resolution. | Check HDMI cable connections. Ensure your monitor is set to the correct input source. Try a different HDMI cable. Verify your monitor supports the output resolution (e.g., 4K@60Hz). |
| USB devices not functioning. | Device requires more power than available, faulty USB device, loose connection. | Ensure the USB device is properly connected. If it's a high-power device, try connecting it directly to the Mac mini or using a powered USB hub. Test with another USB device. |
| Slow data transfer speeds. | Using a lower speed port, cable limitation, drive performance. | Ensure you are using the 10Gbps USB-C or USB-A ports for high-speed transfers. Verify your cables and connected devices support the desired speed. The integrated SSD's speed is up to 1000MB/s. |
| Integrated SSD not appearing. | Connection issue, unformatted drive. | Ensure the Minidock is properly connected to the Mac mini. Check Disk Utility (macOS) or Disk Management (Windows) to see if the drive is detected but unformatted. If so, format it. |
