3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Battery Installation

The timer requires 2 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert 2 new AA 1.5V alkaline batteries.
  4. Close the battery cover securely to maintain the waterproof seal.

3.2 Connecting the Timer

The timer is designed for easy, tool-free installation.

  1. Ensure the faucet is turned off.
  2. Thread the timer onto any standard 3/4" or 1/2" garden outdoor faucet. Use the provided 1/2" adapter and leak-proof gasket if necessary. Apply PTFE tape to the threads to prevent leaks.
  3. Attach your garden hoses to the two bottom hose connectors of the timer.
  4. Ensure the timer is mounted horizontally to prevent water leakage and ensure proper function.

4.1 Setting the Clock

  1. Turn the dial to "SET CLOCK".
  2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the current time.
  3. Press "OK" or turn the dial to the next setting to confirm.

4.2 Programming Watering Schedules (Zones 1 & 2)

Each zone can be programmed independently.

  1. Select Zone: Press the "ZONE 1" or "ZONE 2" button to select the desired watering zone.
  2. Set Start Time: Turn the dial to "START TIME". Use "+" and "-" to set the desired watering start time.
  3. Set Watering Duration ("HOW LONG"): Turn the dial to "HOW LONG". Use "+" and "-" to set the watering duration from 0 to 240 minutes.
  4. Set Watering Frequency ("HOW OFTEN"): Turn the dial to "HOW OFTEN". Use "+" and "-" to set the watering frequency (e.g., every 1H, 3H, 6H, 12H, or daily to every 7 days). You can also select specific days or even/odd days.
  5. Activate Program: Turn the dial to "AUTO" to activate the programmed schedule.

4.3 Rain Delay Function

The Rain Delay mode allows you to pause your watering schedule for a set period, preventing over-watering during rainy conditions.

  1. Ensure the dial is set to "AUTO".
  2. Press and hold the "+ DELAY" button for 2 seconds.
  3. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the delay duration (1 to 7 days).
  4. The timer will automatically resume its programmed schedule after the delay period ends.

4.4 Manual Watering

To water manually without affecting your programmed schedule:

  1. Press the "MANUAL" button.
  2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired manual watering duration (1 to 240 minutes).
  3. Press "OK" or "MANUAL" again to start watering.
  4. To stop manual watering, press "MANUAL" again or turn the dial to "OFF" and then back to "AUTO".
