4. Setup
4.1 Unboxing and Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the grinder on a stable, dry, and level surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation and operation.
4.2 Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the grinder and then to a suitable electrical outlet. The grinder operates on a 250W motor.
4.3 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wipe down the exterior of the grinder with a damp cloth. Remove the burr assembly (refer to Maintenance section) and clean any manufacturing residue with the provided brush. Reassemble the burrs securely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Grind Adjustment
The DF64 Gen 2 features a stepless adjustment dial for precise control over grind size. Rotate the top collar to adjust from fine (espresso) to coarse (French press).

For espresso, typically use finer settings (lower numbers). For pour-over or drip coffee, use medium settings. For French press or cold brew, use coarser settings (higher numbers).
5.2 Dosing
The grinder is designed for single-dose grinding with low retention. Measure your desired amount of whole beans (up to 50g) and place them into the bellow hopper. The included dosing cup and collar can be used to directly grind into your portafilter.
5.3 Grinding Process
- Ensure the grinder is plugged in and the power switch is on.
- Adjust the grind setting according to your brewing method.
- Place your dosing cup or portafilter under the grind chute.
- Add your measured whole beans to the bellow hopper.
- Press the power button to start grinding. The 250W motor will efficiently grind the beans.
- The grinder features a 45-second auto-stop feature.
- After grinding, use the bellow to clear any remaining grounds from the chute, ensuring low retention.

5.4 Plasma Generator (Anti-Static)
The built-in plasma generator reduces static for clean, clump-free grinding. This ensures evenly distributed coffee grounds and minimizes mess.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your grinder.
- Daily: After each use, use the bellow to clear residual grounds. Empty and wipe the dosing cup.
- Weekly: Unplug the grinder. Remove the bellow hopper and the top burr. Use the provided brush to clean the burrs and the grind chamber. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth.

6.2 Burr Access and Customization
The 64mm flat burrs are easily accessible for cleaning or replacement. To access the burrs, rotate the grind adjustment collar counter-clockwise until it can be lifted off. The top burr can then be removed.

The DF64 Gen 2 is compatible with aftermarket 64mm burrs, such as SSP High Uniformity or Multi-Purpose burrs, allowing for advanced customization of your grind profiles.

7. Troubleshooting
- Grinder not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the grinder and a working electrical outlet. Check the power switch.
- Beans not grinding: Check if the hopper is empty. Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the burrs. If beans are stuck, unplug the grinder and carefully clear the burr chamber.
- Inconsistent grind: Clean the burrs and grind chamber thoroughly. Ensure the grind adjustment collar is securely tightened.
- Excessive static/clumping: Ensure the plasma generator is functioning. Clean the grind chute to prevent buildup.
