The Portronics Vayu 5.0 is a portable and rechargeable tyre inflator designed for quick and efficient inflation of various items, including car tyres, motorcycle tyres, bicycle tyres, and sports balls. It features a digital display, preset inflation modes, an auto shut-off function, and an integrated LED flashlight for convenience and safety.

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Device

The Portronics Vayu 5.0 is equipped with a built-in rechargeable Lithium Ion battery (3 x 1500 mAh). Before first use, fully charge the device.

1. Connect the provided charging cable to the charging port on the inflator.
2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port.
3. The digital display will indicate the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 1.5+ hours.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your Portronics Vayu 5.0 tyre inflator.

4.1. Power On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds. The digital display will illuminate.
• To power off: Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds again, or the device will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity.

4.2. Understanding the Digital Display

The digital display shows the current pressure, target pressure, battery level, and selected inflation mode. You can switch between pressure units (PSI, BAR, KPA, Kg/cm²) by pressing the 'M' button (Mode button).

4.3. Selecting Inflation Mode and Setting Pressure

1. Press the 'M' button to cycle through the preset modes: Motorcycle (45 PSI), Car (36 PSI), Bicycle (35 PSI), Balls (8 PSI), and Custom (0-150 PSI).
2. Once a mode is selected, the default pressure for that mode will be displayed.
3. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target pressure value.
4. For custom mode, you can set any pressure between 0 and 150 PSI.

4.4. Inflation Process (4 Steps to Operate)

1. Step 1: Power On. Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds to turn on the device.
2. Step 2: Select Mode. Press the mode button (circular button) to select the desired inflation mode (Motorcycle, Car, Bicycle, Balls, or Custom).
3. Step 3: Preset Pressure. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set your desired pressure value.
4. Step 4: Connect and Inflate. Connect the inflation hose securely to the tire valve. Press the power button (circular button) to start the inflation. The device will automatically shut off once the preset pressure is reached.

4.5. Using the LED Flashlight

The inflator includes an integrated LED flashlight for use in low-light conditions.

• To turn on the flashlight: Press the flashlight button (usually indicated by a light bulb icon).
• To cycle through modes (White light, Red light, Blinking Red light): Press the flashlight button repeatedly.
• To turn off the flashlight: Press the flashlight button until the light turns off.
