1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BODIOO Inflatable Hot Tub Spa, Model SPA04. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your hot tub. Please read it thoroughly before setup and retain it for future reference.

This portable hot tub is designed to provide a relaxing experience with its bubble jet system and heating capabilities, accommodating up to 4 individuals. It features durable construction and an integrated control panel for ease of use.

2. Safety Information

Adhering to these safety guidelines is crucial for preventing injury and ensuring proper operation of your hot tub.

2.1. Installation Location Requirements

  • The installation surface must be level and capable of supporting the combined weight of the hot tub when filled with water and all users.
  • Ensure adequate drainage is available to prevent water accumulation around the hot tub.
  • The hot tub must be placed within 12 feet of a grounded, grounding-type electrical receptacle.

2.2. Electrical Safety Check

  • DO NOT use an extension cord or multi-plug adapter with this product.
  • Only use a grounded socket that corresponds to the electrical rating of the hot tub's attachment plug.
  • It is recommended to use a socket resistant to humidity and capable of handling high-power loads. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
  • Regularly inspect the plug and socket for signs of damage. If damage is found, DO NOT plug the unit into the socket.

2.3. General Safety Precautions

  • Always supervise children near the hot tub.
  • Do not use the hot tub if the water temperature exceeds 104°F (40°C).
  • Pregnant women, individuals with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or other health conditions should consult a physician before using the hot tub.
  • Avoid using the hot tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • The Freeze Shield automatic heating function helps prevent internal components from freezing in cold temperatures. However, proper winterization procedures should still be followed for extended periods of non-use in freezing conditions.

4. Setup

4.1. Site Preparation

Choose a suitable location as described in the Safety Information section (2.1). Ensure the area is clean, free of sharp objects, and has access to a grounded electrical outlet.

4.2. Inflation

  1. Unfold the hot tub liner on the prepared surface.
  2. Connect the inflation hose from the spa pump to the hot tub's inflation valve.
  3. Plug in the spa pump and activate the inflation function. The pump will quickly inflate the spa.
  4. Once fully inflated, disconnect the hose and securely close the inflation valve.

4.3. Filling with Water

Fill the hot tub with water using a garden hose. Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated inside the tub. The water capacity is approximately 211 gallons (800 liters).

4.4. Connecting the Control Unit

Connect the two hoses from the hot tub to the corresponding inlets/outlets on the spa pump (control unit). Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

5. Operation

5.1. Control Panel Overview

The integrated control panel allows you to manage all hot tub functions. Familiarize yourself with the buttons for heating, bubble jets, and filtration.

5.2. Heating Function

Press the 'Heater' button on the control panel to activate the heating system. The water temperature can be set up to 104°F (40°C). The filtration function will automatically start when heating is active to ensure even heat distribution.

5.3. Bubble Jet Function

Activate the 'Bubble' button to enjoy the 138 bubbling jets. This feature provides a soothing massage experience.

5.4. Filtration

The hot tub features two filters that work simultaneously to maintain water circulation and cleanliness. The filtration system can be operated independently or in conjunction with the heating function.

5.5. ChemConnect Dispenser

Utilize the included ChemConnect dispenser to evenly distribute chlorine or other water treatment chemicals, ensuring clean and healthy water.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Water Treatment

Regularly test the water chemistry and add appropriate chemicals (e.g., chlorine, pH adjusters) using the ChemConnect dispenser to maintain balanced and sanitary water. Follow the chemical manufacturer's instructions.

6.2. Filter Cartridge Replacement

Inspect and clean the filter cartridges regularly. Replace them every 1-2 weeks, or more frequently depending on usage, to ensure optimal filtration performance.

6.3. Cleaning the Hot Tub

Periodically drain the hot tub and clean the interior surface with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly before refilling.

6.4. Insulated Tub Cover

Always use the insulated tub cover when the hot tub is not in use. This helps minimize heat loss, protects the tub from debris, and prevents rainwater pooling.
