1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your TYPONOS P21 Portable Thermal Label Maker. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to create and print custom labels for various applications, including home organization, office tasks, and school supplies.

3. Setup

3.1 Loading Label Tape

  1. Locate the slider on the top of the label maker. Slide it to open the cover.
  2. Insert the roll of label tape into the designated compartment. Ensure the label side is facing upwards.
  3. Pull out approximately 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) of label tape from the machine.
  4. Close the cover securely until it clicks into place.

3.2 Charging the Device

Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port located at the bottom of the label maker and to a compatible USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status.

3.3 App Installation and Bluetooth Connection

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide or search for "Labelize" in your device's app store (Google Play or Apple App Store).
  2. Download and install the "Labelize" application.
  3. Turn on the TYPONOS P21 Label Maker by pressing and holding the power button until you hear a beep and the indicator light turns on.
  4. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
  5. Open the "Labelize" app. The app will search for available devices. Select "P21" from the list to connect.
  6. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. You may need to create an account within the app.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Creating a Label

  1. Once connected, navigate to the "Template" section or select to create a new label.
  2. The app offers various templates for different uses (e.g., storage, office, medicine, name, address). You can also start with a blank label.
  3. Double-tap the text area to edit. You can input text, barcodes, QR codes, symbols, time stamps, frames, and even import images or documents.
  4. Customize your label using the app's editing tools, including font style, size, alignment, and spacing.

4.2 Printing a Label

  1. After designing your label, tap the "Print" button in the app.
  2. Review the print preview to ensure the label appears as desired.
  3. Adjust the number of copies if needed.
  4. Tap "Print" again to send the label to the device. The label will automatically print from the machine.
  5. Use the built-in cutter by sliding the cutter button upwards to cleanly detach the printed label.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the label maker clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Store label tape in a cool, dry place away from direct light to preserve its quality.
  • Ensure the label tape compartment is free of dust or debris to prevent printing issues.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the device is charged. Connect it to the USB-C cable and a power source.
  • Cannot connect via Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone/tablet and the label maker is powered on. Restart both devices and try connecting again.
  • Poor print quality: Check if the label tape is loaded correctly and facing the right direction. Ensure the tape is not wrinkled or damaged.
  • Labels not feeding: Verify that 2-3 cm of label tape is extended from the machine after loading.
  • App issues: Ensure the "Labelize" app is updated to the latest version. Try restarting the app or reinstalling it if problems persist.
