1. Introduction

Welcome to the user manual for your LEMEGA DR3P Portable Digital Radio. This guide provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your device, ensuring you get the most out of its features. The DR3P offers a superior listening experience with DAB/DAB+/FM radio, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a vibrant 2.4-inch color display, 80 station presets, a convenient headphone jack, and versatile dual alarm functions.

3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the controls and display of your LEMEGA DR3P radio.

3.1. Controls and Display

4. Setup

4.1. Powering On

The LEMEGA DR3P can be powered by the included AC adapter or by 4 x AA batteries (not included) for portable use. When using batteries, the radio offers up to 11 hours of playback.

  1. AC Power: Connect the USB-C power cable to the radio's USB-C port and the AC adapter to a wall outlet.
  2. Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the radio and insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

4.2. Initial Scan (DAB/DAB+)

Upon first power-on, the radio will automatically perform a full scan for available DAB and DAB+ stations. This process may take a few minutes.

  1. Ensure the telescopic antenna is fully extended for optimal reception.
  2. The radio will display a progress bar during the scan.
  3. Once complete, the radio will tune to the first available station.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. DAB/DAB+ Radio

To listen to digital radio stations:

  1. Press the SOURCE button until 'DAB Radio' is selected.
  2. Use the navigation buttons (◀◀, ▶▶) to browse through the list of available stations.
  3. Press the rotary knob to select a station.
  4. Press the INFO button repeatedly to cycle through different information displays, such as DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) text, program type, ensemble name, signal strength, and bit rate.

5.2. FM Radio

To listen to FM radio stations:

  1. Press the SOURCE button until 'FM Radio' is selected.
  2. Press and hold the navigation buttons (◀◀, ▶▶) to auto-scan for the next available station. Short presses allow for manual tuning.
  3. Press the INFO button repeatedly to cycle through different information displays, such as RDS (Radio Data System) text, program type, and frequency.

5.3. Bluetooth Audio

Stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Press the SOURCE button until 'Bluetooth Audio' is selected. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
  2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for 'LEMEGA DR3P'.
  3. Select 'LEMEGA DR3P' to pair. Once connected, the Bluetooth icon will become solid.
  4. You can now play audio from your device through the radio. Use the radio's navigation buttons (◀◀, ▶▶) to skip tracks.

5.4. Presets

The radio allows you to save up to 80 of your favorite DAB/DAB+ and FM stations for quick access.

  1. Saving a Preset: While listening to a station, press and hold the PRESETS button. Use the navigation buttons to select a preset number (1-80) and press the rotary knob to confirm.
  2. Recalling a Preset: Press the PRESETS button (short press). Use the navigation buttons to scroll through your saved presets and press the rotary knob to select.

5.5. Headphone Jack

For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack located on the side of the radio. The radio's speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

5.6. Alarm Function

The DR3P features dual alarms with customizable settings.

  1. Setting Alarms: Press the ALARM button. Use the navigation buttons and rotary knob to set Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, time, source (DAB, FM, or Buzzer), volume, and frequency (daily, weekdays, weekends, or once).
  2. Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the rotary knob to activate snooze. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after a set interval.
  3. Sleep Timer: Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes, or Off). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

5.7. Equalization Settings

Adjust the audio output to your preference with built-in equalization modes.

If you encounter any issues with your LEMEGA DR3P, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
