Setup
- Initial Charge: Place both transmitters and the receiver into the charging case. Connect the charging case to a power source using the provided USB charging cable. Ensure all units are fully charged before first use.
- Power On: Open the charging case. The transmitters and receiver will automatically power on and pair. If not, press and hold the power button on each unit for 3 seconds.
- Connect Receiver:
- For cameras: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable to connect the receiver's output to your camera's microphone input.
- For smartphones/tablets: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable to connect the receiver's output to your device's headphone/microphone jack.
- Attach Transmitter: Clip the transmitter to the speaker's clothing, ensuring the microphone is positioned approximately 6-8 inches from the mouth for optimal audio capture.
- HDMI Cable Connection (Optional): If using the Mustang AV HS-101 HDMI cable, connect one end to the HDMI output of your video source (e.g., camera, computer) and the other end to the HDMI input of your display or recording device.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
The units power on automatically when the charging case is opened. To manually power on/off, press and hold the power button on the TX or RX for 3 seconds.
Pairing
The transmitters and receiver are pre-paired at the factory. If re-pairing is needed, place both TX and RX units into the charging case, close the lid, and then open it. They should automatically re-pair.
HearClear Smart Noise Cancellation
To activate or deactivate the HearClear Smart Noise Cancellation feature, short press the noise cancellation button on the transmitter. The indicator light will change to confirm the status. This feature helps reduce ambient noise for clearer recordings.
Volume Adjustment
Use the volume control buttons on the receiver to adjust the output level to your recording device. Monitor audio levels on your camera or recording device to prevent clipping.

Charging
Place the transmitters and receiver into the charging case. Connect the charging case to a USB power adapter (not included) using the provided USB cable. The LED indicators on the charging case will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 1.5 hours for the units and 2 hours for the charging case.
Maintenance
- Keep the devices clean and dry. Avoid exposure to dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the units. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Store the microphone system in its charging case when not in use to protect it and keep it charged.
- Regularly check cables for any signs of wear or damage.
