3. Setup and Installation

3.1 CANBUS Connection

Ensure the CANBUS box is correctly connected. The 8-pin cable must be plugged into the head unit connector for steering wheel controls to function. After connecting the CANBUS, set the protocol by navigating to Car Settings > Factory Setting (Password: 1234) > Protocol Settings, then choose Raise - Ford for your car.

3.2 Reversing Camera Installation

The reversing input must be plugged in even if the reversing camera is not used. For the AHD reverse camera:

  1. Connect wire ① to the positive pole of the car's reversing light.
  2. Connect wire ② to the negative pole of the car's reversing light.
  3. The reversing trigger is controlled by the stereo; no separate connection is required.

After wiring, set the camera resolution via Car Settings > Factory Settings (Password: 1234) > Video Source. Select the correct camera resolution and restart your car.

Note: The white plug must be connected to the main device for Bluetooth and WiFi signals to function.

3.3 Original Backup Camera Connection

If using an original backup camera, connect the yellow AV connector ("CAM Video In") of the power cable to the Reversing Input cable. Then, set the camera resolution as described in Section 3.2.

3.4 SYNC Function Connection

If your vehicle is equipped with the SYNC function, connect the corresponding interface. If your vehicle does not have the SYNC function, this power interface does not need to be connected.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

The head unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless integration with your smartphone. This allows for navigation, messaging, phone calls, and music streaming.

Connecting Wireless Apple CarPlay:

  1. Connect the car radio Bluetooth (Bluetooth name: "Car BT0", Bluetooth PIN: 1234). Ensure "phone audio, music audio" is connected.
  2. Click "SpeedPlay" on the head unit.
  3. Allow Contacts and Favorites Sync.
  4. Select "Use CarPlay with 'SpeedPlay'".
  5. Wait for connection. The first connection may take longer.

Connecting Wireless Android Auto:

  1. Click "SpeedPlay" on the head unit.
  2. Connect your phone into the rear 4-pin USB port with the original data cable.
  3. Allow USB debugging.
  4. Wait for connection. The first connection may take longer.

4.2 GPS Navigation & WiFi Connection

The unit includes a built-in GPS receiver and supports offline maps, ensuring navigation even in areas with weak or no cellular signals. It is compatible with popular navigation apps like Waze, Navfree, and Yandex Map, which can be downloaded from the Play Store via WiFi or hotspot. WiFi connectivity also allows for streaming videos and downloading other applications.
