Setup and Installation
The Redragon GMK915 offers two installation options: C-Clamp and Grommet Mount.
Universal Compatibility
This image illustrates the universal compatibility of the monitor mount, supporting monitors from 13 to 32 inches, weighing between 2-8 kg (4.4-17.6 lbs) per arm, and compatible with VESA patterns of 75x75mm and 100x100mm.
Choose Your Installation Method
This image displays the two available installation methods: C-Clamp Mount for desk edges and Grommet Mount for desks with existing holes. Each method specifies compatible desk thickness ranges.
C-Clamp Mount Installation
- Attach the C-clamp base to the main pole.
- Position the C-clamp on the edge of your desk. Ensure the desk thickness is between 0.39"-4.53" (10-115mm).
- Tighten the clamp screw until the mount is securely fastened to the desk.
Grommet Mount Installation
- If your desk has a grommet hole, attach the grommet base to the main pole.
- Insert the pole through the grommet hole. Ensure the desk thickness is between 0.39"-3.15" (10-80mm) and the hole diameter is between 0.39"-2.36" (10-60mm).
- Secure the mount from underneath the desk using the provided plate and nut.
Attaching Monitors
- Attach the VESA plates to the back of your monitors using the appropriate screws and spacers from the hardware kit. Ensure the VESA pattern is 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Slide the monitors (with VESA plates attached) onto the monitor arms until they click into place.
- Tighten the security screws on the VESA plates to prevent accidental detachment.
Operating Instructions
The Redragon GMK915 features gas spring arms for easy and flexible monitor adjustments.
Full Range Motion Arm
This image demonstrates the extensive range of motion, including various swivel points (180°, 270°, 360°) and 360° rotation, allowing for customized viewing angles.
Adjusting Monitor Position
- Height Adjustment: Gently push or pull the monitor up or down to achieve the desired height.
- Swivel: Rotate the monitor arms horizontally up to 180°, 270°, or 360° at different joints to share your screen or adjust viewing angles.
- Tilt: Tilt your monitor screen +90° to -45° to reduce glare and find the optimal viewing angle.
- Rotation: Rotate your monitor 360° from landscape to portrait orientation.
Easy Height Adjustment and Gas Spring Tension
This image illustrates how to adjust the gas spring tension. Turn counter-clockwise (“+” direction) to increase tension for lighter monitors, and turn clockwise (“-” direction) to decrease tension for heavier monitors. This ensures the monitor stays at the desired height.
Adjusting Gas Spring Tension
If your monitor sags or springs up, you need to adjust the gas spring tension:
- Use the provided hex key to turn the adjustment screw located on the arm.
- Turn counter-clockwise (“+” direction) to increase tension for lighter monitors.
- Turn clockwise (“-” direction) to decrease tension for heavier monitors.
- Adjust gradually until the monitor stays in place when moved to any height.
Cable Management
Utilize the integrated cable management clips on the arms to route and organize your monitor cables for a clean and tidy workspace.
Maintenance
- Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
- Clean the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspect the gas spring arms periodically for any signs of wear or damage.
Troubleshooting
- Monitor sags or won't stay up: The gas spring tension is too low for the monitor's weight. Increase tension by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise (“+” direction).
- Monitor springs up too easily or won't go down: The gas spring tension is too high for the monitor's weight. Decrease tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise (“-” direction).
- Mount feels unstable: Ensure the C-clamp or grommet base is securely tightened to the desk. Check that all arm connections are firm.
- Monitor cannot be rotated/tilted: Check if any locking screws are present and loosen them slightly if necessary. Ensure no cables are obstructing movement.
