2. Safety Information

6. Setup
6.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the wrench.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.
6.2 Attaching to Drive
- The wrench features a 1/2-inch adaptor size.
- Attach the electronic torque wrench unit to a standard 1/2-inch drive ratchet or breaker bar. Ensure a secure connection.

7.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press the Power/Zeroing button (red circle with power symbol).
- The display will light up and show the current mode and unit.
- To power off, press and hold the Power/Zeroing button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The wrench will also auto-shutoff after a period of inactivity.
7.2 Unit Selection
- Press the U/S (Unit Switch) button to cycle through the available measurement units: kgf.cm, Nm, Lbf.ft, Lbf.in.
- Select the desired unit for your application.
7.3 Mode Selection (Peak/Trace)
- Press the M (Mode Switch) button to switch between Peak and Trace modes.
- Peak Mode: Displays the maximum torque value reached during the application. This value is held on the display until reset or a higher peak is detected.
- Trace Mode: Displays the real-time torque value as it is being applied.
7.4 Setting Target Torque (Preset Value)
- In the desired mode (usually Peak), use the + and - buttons to adjust the target torque value.
- The display will show the set target value.
- When applying torque, the wrench will provide an audible beep and/or visual signal (signal lamp) as you approach and reach the target torque.
7.5 Torque Application
- Attach the wrench to the fastener.
- Apply smooth, steady force to the wrench handle.
- Observe the digital display for real-time torque readings (in Trace mode) or the peak value (in Peak mode).
- Listen for the audible alarm and watch for the signal lamp to indicate when the target torque is reached.
- Stop applying force immediately once the target torque is achieved to prevent over-torquing.
7.6 Reading the Display
- The LCD display shows the current torque value, selected unit, and mode (Peak/Trace).
- A battery indicator icon will show the remaining battery life.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the wrench with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the wrench in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if the wrench will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
- Calibration: Digital torque wrenches require periodic calibration to maintain accuracy. Refer to a professional calibration service as needed.
