1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Kyanware 8QT Easy View Non-Toxic Digital Air Fryer. This appliance is designed to provide a versatile and efficient cooking experience, allowing you to roast, bake, air fry, broil, reheat, and dehydrate with ease. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This appliance has a transparent look-through window. Exercise caution as the window and surrounding areas can become hot during operation.
  • The appliance features automatic shut-off when the cover is opened and overheat protection. These are safety features and should not be bypassed.

3. Product Components

  • Main Unit: Houses the heating element, fan, and control panel.
  • Transparent Lid: Allows monitoring of food during cooking without opening.

4. Setup & First Use

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
  2. Remove the cooking basket and crisper plate from the main unit.
  3. Wash the cooking basket and crisper plate thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
  4. Wipe the inside and outside of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  5. Ensure all parts are completely dry before use.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the air fryer on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of free space on the back and sides of the appliance, and 4 inches (10 cm) above it, to allow for proper air circulation.
  • Do not place the appliance against a wall or other appliances.

4.3 Initial Run (Burn-in)

It is recommended to perform an initial run to eliminate any manufacturing odors:

  1. Plug the air fryer into a grounded wall outlet.
  2. Set the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and the timer to 10 minutes.
  3. Allow the appliance to run in a well-ventilated area. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate.
  4. After the cycle, unplug the unit and let it cool completely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The digital touch control panel allows for precise adjustment of cooking settings and selection of preset functions. The display shows current temperature and time.

5.2 Basic Operation

  1. Place the crisper plate into the cooking basket, then insert the basket into the main unit.
  2. Add your ingredients to the cooking basket. Do not overfill.
  3. Close the lid securely.
  4. Plug the appliance into a grounded wall outlet.
  5. Press the Power button () to turn on the air fryer.
  6. Manual Setting: Use the temperature (∧/∨) and time (∧/∨) arrows to adjust to your desired settings. Temperature range: 170°F - 400°F. Timer range: 1-60 minutes.
  7. Preset Functions: Select one of the pre-programmed cooking functions (e.g., Cake, Broil, Fish, French Fry, Vegetable, Shrimp, Drumsticks, Bread) by pressing the corresponding icon. The appliance will automatically set the optimal time and temperature.
  8. Press the Start/Pause button () to begin cooking.
  9. Monitor cooking progress through the transparent lid.
  10. To pause cooking, lift the lid or press the Start/Pause button. The appliance will automatically resume when the lid is closed or the button is pressed again.
  11. When the timer reaches zero, the appliance will beep and automatically shut off.
  12. Carefully remove the cooked food using heat-resistant tongs.

5.3 Reservation Function

The 24-hour reservation function allows you to set a delayed start time for your cooking:

  1. Prepare your food in the cooking basket and close the lid.
  2. Set your desired cooking time and temperature (or select a preset).
  3. Press the Reservation button ().
  4. Use the time arrows to set the delay time (up to 24 hours).
  5. Press the Start/Pause button to confirm. The appliance will start cooking after the set delay time.

5.4 Safety Features

  • Overheat Protection: The appliance will automatically shut off if it detects overheating.
  • Power Cut-Off Memory: If the lid is opened during operation, the cooking process pauses and resumes when the lid is closed.
  • Automatic Shut-Off: The air fryer automatically turns off when the cooking cycle is complete or the lid is opened.

6. Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Kyanware Air Fryer.

  1. Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the cooking basket and crisper plate. These parts are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  4. Clean the interior of the appliance with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Ensure no water enters the heating element area.
  5. For stubborn food residue, soak the basket and plate in warm, soapy water for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
  6. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling and storing.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your air fryer, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
