1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using your MAGiC COM Rice Cooker. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always ensure the voltage of your power outlet matches the voltage specified on the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the main unit (base) in water or any other liquid. Only the inner pot, inner pot cover, and steam cap are washable.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Avoid touching hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Steam released during cooking is hot.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not use attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, as this may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for household use only.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove the plug from the wall outlet.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Rice Cooker: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, inner pot cover, steam cap, measuring cup, rice paddle, soup spoon, and steamer basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The digital display will illuminate.

4. Operating Instructions

Your MAGiC COM Rice Cooker offers a variety of cooking modes for diverse culinary needs.

The rice cooker's versatile multi-cook functions allow for a wide range of dishes beyond just rice.

Basic Cooking Steps:

  1. Measure Ingredients: Use the provided measuring cup to measure rice. Rinse rice thoroughly until water runs clear.
  2. Add to Inner Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot.
  3. Place Inner Pot: Carefully place the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits properly. Close the lid securely.
  4. Select Cooking Mode: Press the Menu button repeatedly to cycle through the available cooking modes until your desired mode is selected. The selected mode will be highlighted on the digital display.
  5. Start Cooking: Press the Start button. The cooker will begin the cooking process, and the display will show the remaining cooking time or a progress indicator.
  6. Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode. This function can keep food warm for up to 72 hours.

Using the Delay Timer:

The 24-hour delay timer allows you to set the cooker to start at a later time, so your meal is ready when you need it.

  1. Prepare ingredients in the inner pot as usual.
  2. Press the Preset Timer button.
  3. Use the Hr and Min buttons to adjust the desired delay time (up to 24 hours).
  4. Press the Start button to confirm. The display will show the countdown until cooking begins.

Special Functions:

  • Auto Clean: This mode uses steam to help loosen food residue inside the cooker, making manual cleaning easier.
  • Reheat: Use this function to warm up previously cooked food.
  • Softer/Harder: For certain rice types, these options allow you to adjust the texture of the cooked rice.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

  3. Inner Pot Cover and Steam Cap: These parts are detachable and can be easily removed and washed with water and mild soap. Ensure they are dry before reattaching.
  4. Water Collector: Empty and clean the water collector (condensation collector) located at the back or side of the unit after each use to prevent odors and buildup.
  5. Main Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or immerse the main unit in water.
  6. Heating Plate: If any food particles are stuck on the heating plate, gently wipe them off with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp objects to scrape the heating plate.
