1. Introduction

Welcome to your new Dreo Tower Fan. This evaporative air cooler is designed to provide efficient and quiet cooling for your living space. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper use and maintenance. For optimal performance, ensure the fan is placed on a stable, flat surface.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning, servicing, or moving it.
  • Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not immerse the fan, plug, or cord in water or other liquids.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Do not block air openings or operate near curtains or other objects that may block airflow.
  • Ensure the water tank is securely in place before operating the evaporative cooling function.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the main components of your Dreo Tower Fan:

  • Control Panel: Located on top, with touch buttons for power, mode, speed, oscillation, and timer.
  • Digital Display: Shows current settings and temperature.
  • Air Outlet: Front grille where cool air is expelled.
  • Water Tank: Removable tank at the bottom for evaporative cooling.
  • Rear Air Inlet & Filter: Back panel for air intake and removable filter for cleaning.
  • Base: Provides stability for the tower fan.

5. Initial Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Dreo Tower Fan:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the fan and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the fan on a firm, level surface, ensuring there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of clear space around the fan for proper airflow.
  3. Fill Water Tank (for Evaporative Cooling):
    • Pull out the water tank from the bottom rear of the unit.
    • Fill the tank with clean water. For enhanced cooling, place the provided ice packs (after freezing) into the water tank.
    • Push the water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Dreo Tower Fan can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

6.1. Power On/Off

Press the Power button (⏻) to turn the fan on or off.

6.2. Modes and Speeds

Press the Mode button (M) to cycle through the available modes:

  • Normal Mode: Provides a consistent airflow at your selected speed.
  • Moisty Mode (Evaporative Cooling): Activates the water pump to circulate water over the cooling pads, providing humidified, cooler air. Ensure the water tank is filled.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower speed and noise level for undisturbed rest.

Press the Speed button (+/-) to adjust between 4 fan speeds. The digital display will show the current speed setting.

6.3. Oscillation

Press the Oscillation button (⟳) to activate the 80° wide-angle oscillation feature, distributing cool air across a wider area.

6.4. Timer Function

Press the Timer button (◷) to set an auto-off timer. Each press increases the timer by 1 hour, up to a maximum of 12 hours. The fan will automatically turn off when the set time expires.

6.5. Quiet Operation

The Dreo Tower Fan is engineered for quiet operation, producing only 35dB of noise, ensuring a peaceful environment for sleep or work.

6.6. Enhanced Cooling with A/C

For extended efficiency and energy savings, position the Dreo Tower Fan to circulate air from your air conditioning unit. This can help distribute cool air more effectively throughout the room.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fan.

7.1. Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7.2. Cleaning the Water Tank and Cooling Pads

It is recommended to clean the water tank and cooling pads regularly, especially if using the evaporative cooling function frequently.

  1. Unplug the fan from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Carefully remove the cooling pads (honeycomb structure) and the rear grill.
  4. Wash the water tank, cooling pads, and rear grill with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  6. Reinsert the cooling pads and rear grill, then slide the water tank back into place.

7.3. Storage

If the fan will not be used for an extended period, clean it thoroughly, empty the water tank, and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
