4. Setup and Installation

The EUHOMY portable air conditioner is designed for easy installation and mobility. Follow these steps for proper setup.

Unit Placement

  • Place the unit on a firm, level surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of space around the unit for adequate air circulation.
  • The unit is equipped with 360° rolling casters and built-in handles for easy movement between rooms.

Window Kit Installation

The included window kit is compatible with both horizontal and vertical sliding windows (17 to 53 inches / 43 to 135 cm).

  1. Step 1: Connect Window Adapter to Exhaust Hose. Attach the window adapter to one end of the exhaust hose by twisting it clockwise until secure.
  2. Step 2: Adjust and Secure Window Kit. Adjust the window kit panels to fit the length or height of your window opening. Secure the panels with screws. Attach the exhaust hose (with adapter) to the opening in the window kit.
  3. Step 3: Connect Hose to Unit. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose (with the hose connector) to the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit. Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage.

5. Operating Instructions

The unit can be controlled via the LED display panel or the included remote control.

Operating Modes

  • Cooling Mode: Provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 20 m². Adjust the temperature between 16°C and 32°C (61°F and 90°F).
  • Dehumidifying Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air, with a capacity of up to 50 pints per day.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select between low and high fan speeds.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates quietly (as low as 52 dB) with reduced fan speed and no display light for an undisturbed sleep environment.

Additional Functions

  • Timer: Set a 24-hour timer for automatic on/off operation.
  • Child Lock: Activates to prevent accidental changes to settings, ensuring safety for children and pets.
  • Water Full Indicator: Alerts when the water tank needs draining in dehumidifying mode.
  • Adjustable Fan Blades: Manually adjust the direction of airflow for optimal distribution.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The unit features a removable and washable filter. Clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently if used in dusty environments.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit.
  3. Wash the filter under running water with a mild detergent.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.

Draining Water

The unit collects condensed water during cooling and dehumidifying operations. It has an internal self-evaporation system, but manual drainage may be required in high humidity conditions or when the 'Water Full' indicator lights up.

  • Manual Drainage: Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage hole at the bottom rear of the unit. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. Replace the plug once drained.
  • Continuous Drainage: For continuous dehumidification, connect the included water pipe (drainage hose) to the continuous drainage port and direct it to a floor drain or suitable container.

Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Drain all accumulated water from the unit.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
  4. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
