6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
Press the Power button to turn the multimeter on or off.
6.2 Smart Mode (Automatic Measurement)
When powered on, the multimeter defaults to Smart Mode. In this mode, the device automatically detects and measures:
- DC/AC Voltage
- Resistance
- Continuity
Simply connect the test leads to the circuit, and the multimeter will display the appropriate measurement without manual range selection.
6.3 Manual Mode (Function Selection)
To access specific measurement functions not covered by Smart Mode, or to manually select a range:
- Press the FUNC button to cycle through available functions within a category (e.g., ACV/DCV, Diode/Capacitance).
- Use the SEL button to switch between different measurement types (e.g., Voltage, Current, Resistance).
Available manual functions include:
- DC/AC Current
- Diode Test
- Capacitance Measurement
- Frequency (Hz) / Duty Cycle (%)
- Temperature Measurement (using K-type probe)
