Setup
Package Contents
Before beginning, ensure all components are present in the package:
- OWC Thunderbolt 5 Hub
- Power Adapter (140W)
- Thunderbolt 5 Cable
Physical Connections
Follow these steps to connect your OWC Thunderbolt 5 Hub:
- Connect Power: Plug the provided 140W power adapter into the DC IN port on the rear of the hub, then connect it to a power outlet.
- Connect to Host Device: Use the included Thunderbolt 5 cable to connect one of the Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports on the hub to a compatible Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, or USB-C port on your computer or iPad Pro. This port will also deliver power to your host device.
- Connect Peripherals: Utilize the remaining Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports and the USB-A port to connect your external drives, displays, and other USB devices.

Operating the Hub
High-Speed Data Transfer
The OWC Thunderbolt 5 Hub supports bi-directional data speeds of up to 80Gb/s, with up to 120Gb/s for higher display bandwidth needs. This allows for rapid transfer of large files and smooth performance for demanding applications.

Daisy Chaining
You can create three separate daisy chains of devices, including bus-powered devices. This feature allows you to remove devices from one chain without affecting the others, providing flexible connectivity options.
