4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on one of the headset earcups.
- Slide the latch to unlock and open the compartment.
- Insert the rechargeable battery, ensuring proper alignment with the contacts.
- Close the compartment and slide the latch to lock it securely.
- Repeat for all other headsets.
4.2 Power On/Off
- To power on, push the power toggle switch upwards. The headset will announce "Intercom Mode".
- To power off, push the power toggle switch downwards.
4.3 Pairing
The XTALK XMAX2 headsets are pre-paired from the factory (master X1 and ready to use). To ensure a successful auto-reconnection, always power on the headsets in the sequence of Master -> Level 1 -> Level 2.
- Power on the Master headset first.
- Power on the Level 1 headsets.
- Power on the Level 2 headsets.
The headsets will automatically connect. You will hear "Pairing Successful" once connected.

5.1 Volume Control
- Use the '+' button to increase volume.
- Use the '-' button to decrease volume.

- Press the 'B' button once to toggle AI noise cancellation on or off. The headset will announce the status.
5.3 Group Communication (MasterFree Algorithm)
The MasterFree Algorithm allows any headset to function as a master unit, enabling flexible group chats for 2 to 13 people.
- Long press button 'A' to set a headset as Master (Level 1) or Level 2.
- The Master unit can communicate with all Level 1 and Level 2 headsets.
- Level 1 headsets can communicate with each other and the Master.
