3.2 Indoor Unit Installation

  1. Select Location: Choose a hard, flat, and firm wall. Ensure adequate clearance: >15cm to ceiling, >20cm to obstacles on sides, and 230-260cm from floor.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Place the mounting plate on the wall, use a level to ensure it is horizontal. Secure with at least 5 expansion screws. Do not use nails.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: After determining the pipe's path, drill a wall hole inclined outward by 5-10 degrees, with a diameter of 60-80mm. Avoid wires, plumbing, and gas lines. Use an anti-dust bag.
  4. Connect Power Cable: Pass the power cable from the back of the indoor unit and fix it to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram on the E-parts cover. Fix the cable with a clamp.
  5. Prepare Piping: Remove the knock-out panel according to piping direction. Use both hands to turn the refrigerant pipe in the desired direction to avoid deformation or rupture.
  6. Connect Refrigerant Piping: Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten with two wrenches. Refer to the torque table for correct tightening force.
  7. Install Drain Hose: Connect the drain hose with the water outlet pipe, ensuring it is fixed firmly with adhesive tape. The length should be more than 5cm.
  8. Wrap Piping: Wrap refrigerant piping, wires, and drain pipe with wrapping tape.
  9. Mount Indoor Unit: Put the refrigerant piping out of the wall hole. Place the indoor unit on the mounting plate. Push the lower part of the indoor unit until a 'click' sound is heard, ensuring it is firmly fixed.
  10. Seal Wall Hole: Install a pipe protecting ring and seal the wall hole with putty to prevent air and moisture ingress.

3.3 Outdoor Unit Installation

  1. Select Location: The outdoor unit must be installed in a firm and flat place to prevent vibration and noise. Ensure adequate clearance: >20cm to top obstruction, >30cm to side obstructions, >10cm air in side, >200cm air out side.
  2. Install Outdoor Unit Bracket: If installing at a higher place, wear a safety belt and helmet. Use a level to ensure the bracket is horizontal and vertical. Use at least 6 expansion bolts to fix brackets firmly on the wall.
  3. Place Outdoor Unit: Put the outdoor unit onto the brackets. Use 4 screws to fix the feet of the outdoor unit.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Piping: Remove the nut from the stop valves. Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten with two wrenches. Refer to the torque table for correct tightening force.
  5. Electrical Connections: Remove the electrical box cover. Fix cables to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram on the E-parts cover. Use clamps to fix cables. Must follow the wiring diagram inside the box cover. Put the electrical box cover back and secure it.

3.4 Vacuumizing and Refrigerant Charging

  1. Preparation: Before vacuuming, check all the nuts of the indoor and outdoor unit are tightened.
  2. Connect Vacuum Pump: Connect the stop valve, charging hose, manifold valve, and vacuum pump as shown in the diagram.
  3. Vacuumize: Turn on the handle Lo to vacuumize. Vacuumize for at least 15 minutes, ensuring the value on the pressure gauge is ≤0.1MPa. Keep pressure for 3-5 minutes after vacuumizing to ensure pressure springback is ≤0.05MPa.
  4. Open Valves: Open the 1/4 liquid valve, and remove the charging hose. Open all the liquid valves and gas valves. Screw all the caps and tighten them up.
