4. Operating Instructions

Proper operation ensures effective cleaning and extends the life of your pressure washer:

  1. Turn on Water Supply: Fully open the water faucet connected to your garden hose.
  2. Purge Air: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water flows out.
  3. Start Engine: Turn the fuel shut-off valve to the RIGHT position. Turn the engine switch to the ON position. Turn the choke lever to the LEFT position. Locate the recoil cord and pull slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly to start the engine. Once the engine starts, turn the lever to the RIGHT position.
  4. Begin Cleaning: Direct the spray gun at the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance. Adjust the distance and nozzle type for desired pressure and spray pattern.
  5. Using the Soap Tank: To apply soap, ensure the soap tank is filled with appropriate pressure washer detergent. Switch to the black soap nozzle. The pressure washer will automatically draw soap and mix it with the water.
  6. Shutting Down: Release the spray gun trigger. Turn the engine switch to the OFF position. Turn off the water supply. Squeeze the trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of your pressure washer:

  • Engine Oil: Check engine oil levels before each use. The built-in Smart Oil Sensor prevents engine damage due to low oil levels.
  • Fuel: Use fresh gasoline. For storage longer than 30 days, add a fuel stabilizer or drain the fuel tank.
  • Pump: The reinforced axial cam pump is maintenance-free. However, ensure it is protected from freezing temperatures during storage.
  • Nozzles: Clean nozzles regularly to prevent clogs and maintain optimal spray patterns.
  • Hose: Inspect the high-pressure hose for kinks, cuts, or abrasions before each use.
  • Storage: Store the pressure washer in a dry, protected area. If storing in freezing temperatures, ensure the pump is completely drained or protected with pump saver.
