Setup

  1. Unpack the Trainer: Carefully remove the trainer and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Assemble the Base: Attach the base legs to the main unit using the provided base screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  3. Install Cassette (Not Included): The XX PRO does not come with a cassette. Install a compatible bicycle cassette (8, 9, 10, 11, or 12-speed) onto the freehub body. Use the appropriate flywheel washer if installing an 8, 9, or 10-speed cassette.
  4. Select Axle Converters: Choose the correct drive side and non-drive side converters for your bicycle's axle standard (e.g., Quick Release, Thru-Axle).
  5. Mount Your Bicycle:
    • Remove the rear wheel from your bicycle.
    • Carefully align your bicycle's rear dropouts with the trainer's axle and converters.
    • Secure the bicycle to the trainer using your bicycle's quick release skewer or thru-axle. Ensure it is firmly seated and stable.
  6. Position the Trainer: Place the assembled trainer with the bicycle on a flat, stable surface. For optimal stability, consider using a trainer mat.

Operating Instructions

Powering On and Self-Generation

The ThinkRider XX PRO features a self-generating power system. Simply begin pedaling your bicycle, and the trainer will generate its own power for operation and connectivity. No external power adapter is required for basic functionality, offering flexibility in placement.

Connectivity (Bluetooth & ANT+)

The XX PRO supports both Bluetooth and ANT+ wireless communication protocols, allowing connection to various cycling applications and devices.

  • Bluetooth (BLE): Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Open your preferred cycling app (e.g., Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy) and search for available devices. Select "ThinkRider XX PRO" to connect.
  • ANT+: Ensure your ANT+ compatible device (e.g., GPS cycling computer, ANT+ dongle for PC) is active. The trainer will broadcast its data automatically. Search for sensors on your device and connect to the ThinkRider XX PRO.

The trainer provides stable and high-precision power data with an accuracy of ±1%. It can simulate gradients up to 25% and offers a maximum power output of 2500W.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the trainer regularly with a damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they are tight. Inspect the freehub body and cassette for wear.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the trainer in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The foldable design allows for convenient storage.
  • No Calibration Needed: The XX PRO is designed to maintain accuracy without the need for regular calibration, even after long periods of disuse or changes in ambient temperature.
