NEWTRY Centrifuge Machine 900-3S Instruction Manual
Model: 900-3S | Brand: NEWTRY
Introduction
This instruction manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your NEWTRY Centrifuge Machine, Model 900-3S. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper usage and to prevent damage or injury.

1. Setup
1.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the centrifuge from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present. If any damage or missing parts are found, contact your supplier immediately.
1.2 Placement
Place the centrifuge on a stable, level, and vibration-free surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation and safe operation. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources. The suction cup feet on the base help to reduce vibration and ensure stable operation.

Figure 2: Stable Operation. This image highlights the suction cup feet designed to minimize vibration and enhance stability during operation.
1.3 Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the centrifuge and then to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the unit (110V / 60Hz).
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Digital Display and Controls
The centrifuge features a digital display for real-time monitoring and adjustment of speed and time. The control panel includes dedicated knobs for setting these parameters.

Figure 3: Digital Control Panel. This image shows the digital display and the time and speed adjustment knobs, indicating precise digital control and one-touch start functionality.
2.2 Setting Time and Speed
- Turn the TIME knob to set the desired centrifugation duration (1-60 minutes). The set time will be displayed on the digital screen.
- Turn the SPEED knob to set the desired rotational speed (0-4000 r/min). The set speed will be displayed on the digital screen.
2.3 Loading Samples
Proper loading of samples is critical for safe and stable operation. Always ensure test tubes are evenly distributed and contain identical volumes to maintain balance and prevent excessive vibration or damage to the unit.
- Use appropriate centrifuge tubes (e.g., conical tubes, bottom plastic centrifuge tubes, blood collection tubes) with a maximum diameter of 16.5mm and length of 120mm.
- Fill tubes to no less than 30% and no more than 80% of their capacity.
- Balance Tubes Symmetrically: Place tubes in opposing positions within the rotor. If using fewer than 6 tubes, ensure they are placed symmetrically to balance the load. For example, with 2 tubes, place them opposite each other (e.g., positions 1 and 4). With 3 tubes, place them in positions 1, 3, and 5.

Figure 4: Efficient Separation and Tube Specifications. This diagram illustrates the separation of blood components (plasma, white blood cells, platelets, red blood cells) after centrifugation and provides critical dimensions for compatible 15ml test tubes.

Figure 5: User Tips for Tube Placement. This image demonstrates the importance of using equal-volume tubes and balancing them symmetrically to prevent vibration during operation.
2.4 Starting Operation
After loading samples and setting parameters, close the lid securely. Press the power button to start the centrifugation process. The machine will automatically begin spinning at the set speed for the set duration.
2.5 Safety Features
The centrifuge is equipped with a mechanical lid lock. The lid must be fully engaged for the unit to operate. If the lid is opened while the centrifuge is running, the machine will automatically stop to ensure user safety and prevent potential accidents.
Video 1: NEWTRY 900-3S Centrifuge Machine Operation. This video demonstrates the basic operation, including setting time and speed, starting the centrifuge, and the safety feature where the machine automatically stops if the lid is opened during operation. It also shows proper tube balancing techniques.
2.6 Stopping Operation and Unloading Samples
Once the set time has elapsed, the centrifuge will automatically stop. Wait for the rotor to come to a complete stop before opening the lid. Carefully remove the centrifuged samples.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining the performance and longevity of your centrifuge. Disconnect the power before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used.
- Clean the rotor and rotor chamber regularly to prevent accumulation of dust or sample residue.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong acids/bases, as these can damage the unit.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before re-connecting power or operating the unit.
3.2 Storage
When not in use, store the centrifuge in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment. Keep the lid closed to prevent dust from entering the rotor chamber.
4. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Centrifuge does not start. | Power cord not connected; Lid not closed properly; Power switch off. | Check power connection; Ensure lid is securely closed; Turn on power switch. |
| Excessive vibration during operation. | Imbalanced load (tubes not equally filled or symmetrically placed). | Stop the centrifuge, re-balance the tubes by ensuring equal volumes and symmetrical placement. |
| Machine stops unexpectedly during operation. | Lid opened during operation (safety feature activated); Power interruption. | Ensure lid remains closed during operation; Check power supply. |
| Digital display not working. | Power issue; Internal fault. | Check power connection; If problem persists, contact customer support. |
