Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the shoulder microphone from its packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check the microphone and cable for any visible damage.
  3. Connect to Radio: Locate the waterproof plug on your compatible BAOFENG radio. Align the microphone's connector with the radio's port and firmly insert it until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection to maintain water resistance.
  4. Positioning: Use the 360° rotatable belt clip to attach the microphone to your shoulder, lapel, belt, or other convenient location. Adjust the clip to ensure the microphone is stable and the cable is not strained.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On Radio: Ensure your BAOFENG two-way radio is powered on and set to the desired channel.
  2. Adjust Volume: The microphone's loudspeaker volume is adjustable via your connected radio's volume control. Adjust to a comfortable listening level.
  3. Transmit (PTT): To transmit, press and hold either of the two PTT buttons located on the side of the microphone. Speak clearly into the microphone, which is located on the front grille. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
  4. Receive: When not transmitting, the microphone will act as a speaker, allowing you to hear incoming transmissions.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the microphone surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: If the microphone gets wet, ensure it is thoroughly dried before storage, especially around the connector.
  • Storage: Store the microphone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling the cable to prevent damage.
