Introduction
The AIPER Surfer S2 Robotic Solar Pool Skimmer is an advanced device designed to keep your pool surface clean with minimal effort. Featuring solar charging capabilities and smart navigation, it offers continuous cleaning and efficient debris removal.
Key features include:
- 24/7 Performance: With sufficient sunlight, the Surfer S2's solar charging ensures continuous cleaning. On cloudy days, a single charge via the DC adapter can provide up to 35 hours of operation.
- Efficient Cleaning with Adjustable Chlorine Dispenser: Equipped with industry-leading 150-micron filtration and DebrisGuard anti-leak design, it effectively captures various types of debris. It also features a dispenser that holds 3-inch chlorine tablets for consistent water sanitation.
- APP Support: Control your device, set custom cleaning schedules, steer remotely, track progress, view history, and receive instant blocking alerts directly from the mobile application.
- Obstacle Avoidance & Edge Cleaning: Dual sensors and Aiper's Smart Algorithms enable effective obstacle avoidance and precise cleaning, including hard-to-reach edges and corners of your pool.
- Anti-Stuck Design: Four retractable anti-stranding columns prevent the skimmer from getting stuck on pool steps, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Obstruction alerts are also provided via the app.
- Durable & Weather Resistant: Constructed with UV-resistant materials, the Surfer S2 is built to withstand harsh weather conditions, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Note: A foam noodle (W/Orange) is included in the box or filter basket. Remove it if in the basket to avoid affecting normal operation; place it in the skimmer port to prevent the unit from getting stuck. This product is not suitable for infinity pools.
Setup Guide
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, ensure the AIPER Surfer S2 is fully charged. You can charge it using its integrated solar panel by placing it in direct sunlight, or via the provided DC adapter for a faster charge, especially on cloudy days. A full DC charge can provide up to 35 hours of operation.

2. App Download and Pairing
Download the official AIPER mobile application from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Surfer S2 with your smartphone. This will enable remote control, scheduling, and monitoring features.

3. Placement in Pool
Gently place the Surfer S2 onto the surface of your pool. Ensure the foam noodle (if included and not in the filter basket) is correctly positioned in the skimmer port to prevent the unit from getting stuck, especially near steps or edges.

Operating Instructions
1. Automatic Cleaning
Once placed in the pool and powered on, the Surfer S2 will automatically begin its cleaning cycle. Its smart algorithms enable efficient navigation across the pool surface, collecting debris.
2. App Control and Scheduling
Use the AIPER mobile app to take full control. You can:
- Start or stop cleaning cycles.
- Set custom cleaning schedules for automated operation.
- Steer the device remotely to target specific areas with high debris concentration.
- Monitor cleaning progress and view historical data.
3. Obstacle Avoidance and Edge Cleaning
The dual sensors and intelligent algorithms allow the Surfer S2 to effectively avoid obstacles and navigate precisely along pool edges and corners, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

4. Chlorine Dispenser Usage
The integrated chlorine dispenser can hold 3-inch chlorine tablets. Place the tablets inside and adjust the flow rate to maintain desired chlorine levels for consistently cleaner water.

Maintenance
1. Debris Basket Cleaning
Regularly empty and clean the 4-liter debris basket. The 150-micron filtration system and DebrisGuard anti-leak design ensure efficient capture of debris. To remove, simply access the basket from the designated compartment, empty its contents, and rinse thoroughly.

2. General Care
The Surfer S2 is built with UV-resistant materials for durability. Periodically inspect the unit for any visible wear or damage. Ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the DC adapter for charging.

Troubleshooting
Unit Getting Stuck
If the Surfer S2 frequently gets stuck, ensure the four retractable anti-stranding columns are properly deployed. The app will provide obstruction alerts, guiding you to the unit's location. Verify that the foam noodle is correctly placed in the skimmer port and not obstructing the filter basket, as mentioned in the precautions.
Poor Cleaning Performance
Check the debris basket for excessive accumulation and clean it if necessary. Ensure the 150-micron filter is not clogged. Verify that the unit's propellers are free from any obstructions.
App Connectivity Issues
Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled and within range of the Surfer S2. Restart the app and the device if connectivity problems persist. Check for any available firmware updates for the device via the app.
