Setup
- Install Batteries: Open the sensor casing (usually by sliding the top part upwards) and insert 2x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity.
- Pairing Mode: Press and hold the small button on the sensor for approximately 3 seconds until the red LED blinks, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- Connect to Zigbee Hub: On your Zigbee hub's application or interface (e.g., Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT), initiate the device pairing process. The sensor should be discovered and connected automatically.
- Mounting: Choose a suitable location for the sensor. It can be mounted using the provided adhesive pad or screws (not included). Consider the 105° wide-angle detection range. Avoid placing it near large airflow sources or areas with constant large movements to prevent false alarms.

Operating Instructions
Motion Detection
Once paired with your Zigbee hub, the sensor will begin detecting motion within its 105° wide-angle detection range. Upon detection, it will send a signal to your hub, triggering any configured automations or notifications.

Illuminance Value Detection
The sensor also measures ambient light levels. This data can be used by your smart home system to create advanced automations, such as turning on lights only when motion is detected AND the room's brightness falls below a certain threshold.

Smart Scene Integration
Utilize your Zigbee hub's capabilities to integrate the motion sensor into various smart scenes:
- Security Alerts: Receive instant notifications on your mobile phone when motion is detected in a specific area.
- Automated Lighting: Turn lights on/off based on motion and/or ambient light.
- Energy Saving: Automate devices to turn off when no motion is detected for a period.
- Historical Records: Access detection logs through your smart home application.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the battery level is low, your Zigbee hub application may notify you. To replace the batteries:
- Carefully remove the sensor from its mounting location.
- Open the sensor casing to access the battery compartment.
- Remove the old 2x AAA batteries and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the casing and re-mount the sensor.
Cleaning
To ensure optimal performance, periodically clean the sensor's lens and body. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor not pairing with hub. | Low battery; sensor not in pairing mode; hub too far; interference. | Replace batteries; ensure sensor LED is blinking; move sensor closer to hub; check for other Zigbee devices causing interference. |
| False alarms. | Sensor placed near large airflow (e.g., AC vent) or moving objects (e.g., curtains). | Relocate the sensor to an area free from drafts or constant movement. |
| No motion detected. | Low battery; sensor obstructed; incorrect placement; detection sensitivity setting. | Replace batteries; ensure clear line of sight; adjust sensor position; check sensitivity settings in your smart home app if available. |
| Illuminance value inaccurate. | Sensor lens dirty; sensor placed in shadow or direct light. | Clean the sensor lens; reposition the sensor to an area with representative ambient light. |
