1. Introduction

The Noise Tag 1 is a global item tracker designed to help you locate your personal belongings. It utilizes both the Google Find My Device network for Android users and the Apple Find My network for iOS users, offering broad compatibility and tracking capabilities. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Noise Tag 1.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all items are present in your package:

3. Setup and Pairing

The Noise Tag 1 is compatible with both Android and Apple devices. Follow the instructions below based on your device's operating system.

3.1. For Android Users (Google Find My Device)

  1. Install the App: Download and install the "Google Find My Device" app from the Google Play Store on your Android smartphone or tablet.
  2. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Android device.
  3. Activate Noise Tag 1: Press and hold the button on the Noise Tag 1 until you hear a chime, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  4. Open Find My Device App: Launch the Google Find My Device app.
  5. Add Device: Follow the on-screen prompts within the app to add a new device. The app should detect your Noise Tag 1.
  6. Complete Pairing: Confirm the pairing request on your Android device.

3.2. For Apple Users (Apple Find My Network)

  1. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device (iPhone, iPad).
  2. Activate Noise Tag 1: Press and hold the button on the Noise Tag 1 until you hear a chime, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. Open Find My App: Launch the "Find My" app on your iOS device.
  4. Add Item: Navigate to the "Items" tab and tap the "+" icon, then select "Add Other Item."
  5. Detect Device: Your iOS device will search for nearby compatible items. Select "Noise Tag 1" when it appears.
  6. Name and Register: Follow the on-screen instructions to name your Noise Tag 1 and register it to your Apple ID.

4. Operating Your Noise Tag 1

The Noise Tag 1 offers three primary modes to help you locate your items:

4.1. Ring Mode

Use Ring Mode to locate items that are nearby. When activated, your Noise Tag 1 will emit a loud 90dB sound, making it easier to find misplaced items like keys under a couch or a wallet in another room.

  • Activation: Open the Google Find My Device app (Android) or Apple Find My app (iOS), select your Noise Tag 1, and tap the "Play Sound" or "Ring" option.

4.2. Alert Mode

Alert Mode notifies you if you leave a tagged item behind. This feature helps prevent loss by sending a notification to your smartphone when the Noise Tag 1 moves out of a specified range from your device.

  • Activation: Configure "Notify When Left Behind" or similar alert settings within the respective Find My app for your Noise Tag 1.

4.3. Lost Mode (Global Tracking)

If your item is lost far away, Lost Mode leverages the vast network of Android and iOS devices to help locate it. When an Android device with Google Find My Device enabled or an Apple device with Find My enabled passes near your lost Noise Tag 1, its location is securely updated and visible to you in your app.

  • Activation: Mark your Noise Tag 1 as "Lost" in the Google Find My Device app or Apple Find My app. You can also add contact information for anyone who finds your item.

4.4. Sharing Your Noise Tag 1

You can share the location of your Noise Tag 1 with others. This is useful for family members tracking shared items. The Noise Tag 1 supports sharing with up to 5 iOS users and 1 Android user.

  • Process: Within the respective Find My app, select your Noise Tag 1 and look for a "Share Item" or "Share Location" option. Follow the prompts to invite other users.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

The Noise Tag 1 uses a replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, which provides up to 1 year of battery life. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification in your tracking app.

  1. Open the Device: Gently pry open the Noise Tag 1 casing using a small tool or your fingernail at the designated notch.
  2. Remove Old Battery: Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery.
  3. Insert New Battery: Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
  4. Close the Device: Align the two halves of the casing and press firmly until it clicks securely into place.

5.2. Cleaning

To clean your Noise Tag 1, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.

5.3. Water Resistance

The Noise Tag 1 features an IPX4 splash-resistant design. This means it is protected against splashes of water from any direction. It is not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing the device to heavy rain or submerging it.

6. Troubleshooting

Cannot hear the ring sound.

  • The environment might be too noisy. Try moving to a quieter area.
Location updates are inaccurate or slow.
  • Location accuracy depends on the density of the Google Find My Device or Apple Find My network in the area.
  • Ensure your smartphone's location services are enabled.
  • If using Android, ensure "Find My Device" network settings are set to "with network in all areas" for optimal performance.
Battery drains quickly.
  • Ensure you are using a fresh, high-quality CR2032 battery.
  • Frequent ringing or constant connection attempts in low signal areas can consume more power.
