Setup Instructions

1. Wiring Connection

The indoor monitor and outdoor doorbell camera connect using a 4-wire cable. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the system.

  1. Connect the 4-wire cable from the outdoor camera to the indoor monitor. The maximum distance for this connection is 100 meters using RVV4 (4 CORE wire) / Cat5 / Cat6 cable.
  2. Connect the power plug (DC 15V/1.2A) to the indoor monitor.
  3. If connecting additional indoor units or CCTV cameras, refer to the system support specifications for wiring diagrams.

2. App Connection (Tuya Smart)

The indoor monitor supports a 2.4G WiFi network for app connectivity.

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your mobile device's app store.
  2. Register or log in to your Tuya Smart account.
  3. On the indoor monitor, navigate to the WiFi settings and ensure it is connected to your 2.4G WiFi network.
  4. Follow the app's instructions to add a new device. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on the monitor or entering device details manually.
  5. Once connected, you can manage and control the intercom system remotely via the app.

3. Outdoor Camera Installation

The outdoor camera is designed for surface mounting and has an IP65 waterproof rating.

  1. Choose a suitable location near your entrance, ensuring clear visibility and accessibility for visitors.
  2. Mount the outdoor camera securely to a wall or surface using the provided screws.
  3. Ensure the camera is positioned to capture the desired viewing area (120° wide angle).

Operating Instructions

1. Two-Way Intercom

When a visitor presses the doorbell button on the outdoor unit:

  • The indoor monitor will ring and display the visitor's video feed.
  • You can answer the call from the indoor monitor or via the Tuya Smart app on your smartphone.
  • Engage in two-way audio communication with the visitor.

2. Door Unlocking Methods

The system offers multiple ways to unlock your door:

  • Indoor Monitor Unlock: Press the unlock icon on the indoor monitor's touch screen during a call or monitoring.
  • Tuya Smart App Unlock: Remotely unlock the door from anywhere using the Tuya Smart app on your smartphone.
  • RFID Card Unlock: Present a registered RFID card to the outdoor camera's RFID reader. The system supports up to 1000 RFID cards.
  • NFC Unlock: Use an NFC-enabled device (e.g., smartphone) to unlock the door by tapping it against the outdoor camera's NFC reader.

3. Recording and Playback

The system supports automatic recording of visitors and events.

  • Automatic Recording: When a visitor rings the doorbell or motion is detected (if enabled), the system can automatically record video or capture photos.
  • Storage: Recordings are stored on the included 32GB TF card (expandable up to 128GB).
  • Playback: Access recorded videos and photos directly from the indoor monitor's interface. Visitor logs can be reviewed at any time.

4. Motion Detection

Configure motion detection settings on the indoor monitor to trigger recordings or alerts when movement is detected near the outdoor camera.

  • Access the settings menu on the indoor monitor.
  • Locate the "Motion Detection" option and enable it.
  • Adjust the detection sensitivity and area as needed.

5. Language Settings

The indoor monitor supports 10 languages:

  • English, Chinese, Russian, French, German, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and Polish.
  • To change the language, navigate to the system settings on the indoor monitor and select your preferred language.

6. Infrared Night Vision

The outdoor camera is equipped with infrared night vision, providing clear visibility even in low-light conditions or complete darkness, up to a distance of 3 meters.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the indoor monitor screen and outdoor camera lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Tuya Smart app or QTTYELOK website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all wiring for any signs of wear or damage.
  • TF Card Management: If the TF card becomes full, back up important recordings and format the card, or replace it with a new one.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power to Monitor:

    Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the monitor and a working power outlet. Verify the power outlet is functional.

  • No Video/Audio from Outdoor Camera:

    Check the 4-wire connection between the outdoor camera and the indoor monitor. Ensure all wires are correctly seated and not damaged.

  • Cannot Connect to Tuya Smart App:

    Confirm your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. Ensure the monitor is within range of your WiFi router. Restart both the monitor and your router. Re-attempt the app pairing process.

  • RFID Cards Not Working:

    Ensure the RFID cards are correctly registered with the system. Try re-registering the cards. Verify the card type is 13.56MHz IC.

  • Poor Night Vision:

    Ensure the outdoor camera lens is clean and free from obstructions. Check for any strong light sources directly facing the camera at night, which can interfere with infrared vision.
