Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Antec CX300 ARGB Mid Tower PC Cabinet. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning installation to ensure proper setup and safe use of the product.

Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before installing or servicing any components inside the PC case.
  • Handle components with care to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge. Consider using an anti-static wrist strap.
  • Keep small parts and screws away from children.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the PC case to prevent overheating.

Setup and Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install your components into the Antec CX300 ARGB Cabinet.

1. Prepare the Case

Carefully remove the side panels of the case. The Antec CX300 typically features a tempered glass side panel and a solid steel side panel. Refer to the image below for an overview of the case interior.

3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

Install your power supply unit into the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case. Secure it with screws from the rear of the case. Route the necessary cables through the cutouts for efficient cable management.

4. Storage Drive Installation

The Antec CX300 supports multiple storage drives. Locate the drive bays for 3.5-inch HDDs and 2.5-inch SSDs. Install your drives into the appropriate trays or mounting points and secure them.

Operating Instructions

Power On

After all components are securely installed and cables connected, replace the side panels. Connect the power cable to your PSU and a wall outlet. Press the power button on the front panel to start your system.

ARGB Lighting Control

The pre-installed ARGB fans can be controlled via your motherboard's ARGB software (if connected to a compatible header) or through a dedicated ARGB controller if included with the case or purchased separately. Refer to your motherboard manual for software-based control.

Maintenance

Cleaning Dust Filters

The Antec CX300 ARGB Cabinet is equipped with dust filters to prevent dust accumulation inside the system. Regularly check and clean these filters (typically located on the top, front, and bottom) to maintain optimal airflow and cooling performance. Gently remove the filters and clean them with compressed air or by rinsing with water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).

General Cleaning

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the case. For the tempered glass panel, use a glass cleaner applied to a cloth, not directly to the glass, to avoid streaks or damage to other components.

Troubleshooting

  • System does not power on: Check all power connections, including the PSU to motherboard, CPU, and graphics card. Ensure the power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard.
  • Fans are not spinning or ARGB lights are off: Verify that the fan power cables and ARGB cables are securely connected to the motherboard or controller. Check motherboard BIOS settings for fan control.
  • USB ports not working: Ensure the front panel USB cables are correctly connected to the motherboard's USB headers.
  • Overheating issues: Confirm that all fans are installed correctly and spinning. Ensure dust filters are clean and there is adequate airflow around the case.
