Setup
Battery Installation
The WT3010 requires two (2) 1.5V AAA dry batteries (not included).
- Twist the battery compartment cap at the bottom of the tester counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cap and twist clockwise to lock it securely.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (marked with a circle and vertical line) to turn the tester on. The LED indicator will light up briefly, and a short beep will sound.
- To turn off, press and hold the Power button until the device powers down. The device will automatically shut off after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Sensitivity Adjustment
The WT3010 offers two sensitivity modes:
- High Sensitivity (12-1000V AC): Ideal for detecting low voltage, tracing wires behind walls, or detecting voltage from a distance. This is the default mode upon power-on.
- Low Sensitivity (48-1000V AC): Suitable for general voltage detection in outlets or direct wire testing, reducing false positives from ambient electrical fields.
- Press the Sensitivity button (marked 'S') to toggle between high and low sensitivity modes. The display will indicate the current sensitivity setting (e.g., "Low").

Voltage Detection
- Ensure the tester is powered on and the desired sensitivity mode is selected.
- Place the sensor tip of the tester near the wire, outlet, or circuit you wish to test.
- If AC voltage is detected within the specified range, the LED indicator will flash, and an audible beep will sound. The frequency of the beeps and flashes will increase with stronger voltage signals.
- A continuous beep and rapid flashing indicate a strong voltage presence.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the tester with a dry, clean cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: If the low battery indicator appears or the device does not power on, replace the batteries immediately. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Solution |
|---|---|
| Tester does not power on. | Check battery installation and polarity. Replace batteries if necessary. |
| No detection or inconsistent detection. | Ensure the tester is powered on. Try switching to high sensitivity mode. Test on a known live circuit to verify functionality. Ensure the sensor tip is close enough to the source. |
| False positives (detects voltage where none is expected). | Switch to low sensitivity mode. Ensure there are no strong electromagnetic fields nearby. |
