The Gavdhe GCA-02 offers multiple access methods including fingerprint, IC card, keypad code, smartphone app, and traditional key, providing versatile and secure entry for your home, bedroom, or office.
2. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

3. Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Gavdhe GCA-02 Smart Fingerprint Door Lock. This lock is designed for U.S. standard doors.
3.1. Prepare the Door
- Ensure your door meets the required dimensions (typically 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset).
- Use the provided drill template if new holes are required or if existing holes need modification.

3.2. Adjust and Install the Latch
- Hold the adjustable latch in front of the door hole, with the latch face flush against the door edge.
- If the latch holes are centered (60mm or 2-3/8"), no adjustment is needed.
- If the latch holes are not centered (70mm or 2-3/4"), adjust the latch by rotating the mechanism. Ensure the square hole in the latch is horizontal.
- Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with the provided screws.

3.3. Install the Front Handle
The Gavdhe GCA-02 is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed doors without special adjustments to the handle direction.
- Secure the threaded pillars to the front handle.
- Route the wiring through the square spindle.
- Insert the square spindle into the square spindle hole on the front handle, ensuring it fits squarely without tilting.
- Carefully insert the front handle assembly into the door, aligning the spindle with the latch mechanism.

3.4. Install the Back Handle
- Remove the battery cover from the back handle.
- Route the wire from the front handle through the back panel of the back handle.
- Connect the wire to the battery box connector on the back handle, ensuring a tight connection.
- Align the back handle with the threaded pillars and secure it with the provided screws (screw B). Note: When fixing screw B, you may need to press the handle down slightly to insert and tighten the screw through the hole in the back handle.
- Insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. Caution: Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Install the battery cover back onto the back handle.

4. Initial Setup and App Control
The Gavdhe GCA-02 Smart Fingerprint Door Lock can be managed via the Tuya Smart App. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled during setup.
4.1. Download and Register Tuya Smart App
- Download the "Tuya Smart" app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to register a new account.
4.2. Add Your Lock to the App (Method One - Auto Discovery)
- Turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
- Open the "Tuya Smart" app.
- Click on "+" or "Add Device". The app should automatically pop up "DLOCK".
- Click "Add".
- After adding successfully, click on the pencil icon to name the lock.
- Fill in the name of the lock as needed, then click "Finish".
4.3. Add Your Lock to the App (Method Two - Manual Selection)
- Turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
- Open the "Tuya Smart" app.
- Click on "+" or "Add Device".
- Tap on "Camera & Lock" and then select "Lock (BLE)".
- Click and tap on "Next".
- After adding successfully, click on the pencil icon to name the lock.
- Fill in the name of the lock as needed, then click "Finish".
4.4. App Setup Video

4.5. Adding Users and Access Methods (Fingerprint, Code, IC Card)
Once the lock is added to the app, you can manage users and add various access methods:
- Tap on "Member Management" in the app.
- Tap on "Me Admin".
- To Add Fingerprint: Tap on "Fingerprint-Add". Place your finger on the sensor 4 times as prompted. Enter a name for the fingerprint and tap "OK".
- To Add Code: Tap on "Code-Add". Enter an 8-10 digit password. Enter a name for the code and tap "OK".
- To Add IC Card: Tap on "Add Card". Place the IC card on the recognition area of the lock for 2 seconds. Enter a name for the card and tap "OK".

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the sensor. The lock will unlock in approximately one second.
- Keypad Code: Enter your registered code on the keypad, followed by '#'.
- IC Card: Tap a registered IC card on the card reader area.
- Smartphone App: Open the Tuya Smart App, and slide the unlock icon to the right (within Bluetooth range).
- Traditional Key: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the physical key to unlock.

5.2. Anti-Peeping Code Protection
To prevent others from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual password. For example, if your code is 123456, you can enter 7891234560#.

5.3. Passage Mode
Passage Mode keeps the door unlocked for free entry and exit without verification. This is useful for high-traffic periods.
- To Turn On: In the app, go to "Settings" and turn off "Auto Lock". Then, place a registered finger on the fingerprint reader to activate Passage Mode.
- To Turn Off: In the app, go to "Settings" and turn on "Auto Lock". Then, place a registered finger on the fingerprint reader to deactivate Passage Mode.
5.4. Silent Mode
Silent Mode disables all sound prompts from the lock, providing discreet access. This can be enabled or disabled via the Tuya Smart App under "Settings" > "Lock Volume".
5.5. Remote Management (with Gavdhe Gateway - Sold Separately)
To enable remote management, real-time access logs, and voice control (Alexa/Google Assistant), you need to pair your lock with a Gavdhe Gateway (sold separately).
- Add Gateway (Method One - Auto Discovery): Turn on phone's Bluetooth. Open Tuya Smart App. Click "+" or "Add Device". App will automatically pop up "Gateway". Click "Add". Enter your WiFi information. After adding successfully, click on the pencil icon to name the Gateway. Click "Done".
- Pair Lock with Gateway: In the app, tap on the Gateway device. Tap on "Add Device". Tap on "Add existing". Select "DLOCK" and tap "Confirm". Tap on "Connect Now". Tap on "Finish". The lock should now be added successfully to the Gateway.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
- The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included).
- Battery life is approximately 10-12 months, depending on usage.
- The lock will provide low battery alerts. Replace all four batteries simultaneously when alerted.
- To replace, remove the battery cover on the back handle, replace the batteries, and reattach the cover.

6.2. Emergency Power
In case of complete battery depletion, you can use a power bank (sold separately) connected via the built-in Type-C emergency port on the front handle to temporarily power the lock and gain access.

6.3. Cleaning
Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Restore to Factory Default Setting
To reset the lock and remove all registered users and settings:
- In the Tuya Smart App, tap on the lock device.
- Tap on the pencil icon (edit) in the top right corner.
- Scroll down and tap on "Remove Device".
- Tap on "Disconnect and wipe data".
- Tap on "Confirm".
This will delete the device from your app and wipe all data from the lock, restoring it to its factory default settings.
