Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your keyboard, gently remove keycaps using the provided keycap puller. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the switches. Wipe keycaps with a damp cloth and mild soap solution if necessary, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
Switch and Keycap Replacement
Thanks to the hot-swappable design, switches can be replaced easily. Use the switch puller to carefully remove existing switches. Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are straight to avoid bending. Keycaps can be removed and reattached by hand or with the keycap puller.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged and connected correctly (wired, 2.4GHz receiver, or Bluetooth). Try switching between connectivity modes.
- Bluetooth connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard. Ensure you are within the effective range.
- Keys not registering/double input: The Split65 features N-Key Rollover (NKRO) and anti-ghosting. If issues persist, check if any debris is under the keycap or switch. For hot-swappable switches, try reseating the switch or replacing it with an extra one.
- RGB lighting not working: Check the keyboard's battery level. Ensure RGB is enabled and adjust settings via QMK/VIA software.
- VIA software not detecting keyboard: Ensure the keyboard is in Windows mode (Fn + A) when using VIA. Connect via USB-C for initial setup and troubleshooting with VIA.
