Setup and Installation

  1. Unpack the Hose: Carefully remove the Pocket Hose Copper Head from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the hose, Pocket Pivot, and 10-pattern spray nozzle, are present.
  2. Connect the Pocket Pivot: Attach the innovative Pocket Pivot to your outdoor spigot. The Pocket Pivot is designed to swivel 180° to 360°, reducing strain and preventing kinks at the connection point. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
  3. Attach the Hose: Connect the Pocket Hose Copper Head to the other end of the Pocket Pivot. The APT (Advanced Polymer Technology) connectors provide a secure and leak-proof seal.
  4. Attach the Nozzle: Securely attach the 10-pattern spray nozzle to the free end of the hose.
  5. Check for Washers: Ensure washers are properly seated at all connection points to prevent leaks. Three additional washers are included for convenience.

Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on Water: Slowly turn on the water at your spigot. The Pocket Hose Copper Head will automatically expand to its full 100 FT length as it fills with water.
  2. Adjust Spray Pattern: Use the 10-pattern spray nozzle to select your desired water flow. Options typically include Shower, Mist, Jet, Flat, Cone, Full, Center, Angle, and Vertical. The easy thumb control allows for quick adjustments.
  3. Watering: Direct the water flow as needed. The Tri-Tex Tubing and Force Field Jacket ensure consistent water flow and resistance to kinking and tangling during use.
  4. Turn Off Water: When finished, turn off the water at the spigot.
  5. Drain and Store: Squeeze the nozzle trigger to release any remaining water pressure. The hose will automatically shrink back to its compact size for easy storage.

Maintenance

  • Draining: Always drain the hose completely after each use to ensure it retracts fully and to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
  • Storage: Store the hose in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Its compact size allows for easy storage in small spaces.
  • Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the hose with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the Force Field Jacket.
  • Inspecting Connections: Periodically check the APT connectors and Pocket Pivot for any signs of wear or damage. Replace washers if leaks occur.

Troubleshooting

  • Hose Not Expanding Fully: Ensure the water pressure is adequate. Check for any kinks or obstructions in the hose or at the spigot connection. Make sure the nozzle is open to allow water flow.
  • Leaks at Connections: Tighten all connections. Check the rubber washers inside the connectors and replace them if they are worn or damaged. Ensure the Pocket Pivot is securely attached.
  • Nozzle Malfunction: Inspect the nozzle for blockages or damage. Ensure the thumb control is fully engaged for the desired spray pattern.
  • Hose Not Retracting: Ensure the water is completely turned off at the spigot and all water pressure has been released from the hose by opening the nozzle.
