Product Overview

The UME Hybrid Solar and Battery Powered Motion Sensor Light is an energy-efficient and eco-friendly lighting solution designed for outdoor use. It features 302 ultra-bright LEDs, providing 1800 lumens of warm white light (7000K color temperature). The light is equipped with a highly sensitive motion sensor offering a 180-degree detection angle and up to 60 feet detection distance. Its unique hybrid power system utilizes solar energy first, seamlessly switching to battery power when solar energy is depleted, ensuring continuous illumination. The three adjustable heads allow for flexible angle adjustments, providing wide coverage of up to 270 degrees. With an IP65 waterproof rating, this light is built to withstand various weather conditions.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your UME Hybrid Solar and Battery Powered Motion Sensor Light:

1. Unscrew and open the battery compartment: Locate the battery compartment on the main light unit and open it.

2. Insert 3 Alkaline D Batteries: Insert three (3) Alkaline D batteries into the compartment. (Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.)

3. Fasten the mounting bracket to the wall with screws: Choose a suitable location for the light, ensuring it is within reach of the solar panel cable. Use the provided screws and plastic anchors (if needed for drywall) to securely fasten the mounting bracket.
4. Snap the light onto the mounting bracket: Once the bracket is secure, carefully attach the main light unit to the bracket.
5. Place the solar panel in a sunny spot: Identify a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for the solar panel. This is crucial for optimal charging.
6. Connect the solar panel to the fixture: Plug the solar panel cable into the designated port on the main light unit. Ensure a secure connection.

For best performance, ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. The recommended installation height for the light is approximately 8.2 feet to maximize motion detection range.

Operating Instructions

Your UME Hybrid Light offers three versatile lighting modes to suit various needs. When you receive the light, it will be off. Each press of the switch will cycle through the modes:

• Mode 1: Motion Sensor Mode (First press)
  The light remains off until motion is detected. Upon detection, it illuminates at 100% brightness. The light will turn off approximately 30 seconds after motion ceases.

• Mode 2: Dim Light Mode (Second press)
  The light stays on continuously at 10% brightness throughout the night (for up to 8 hours). This mode provides constant, low-level illumination.
• Mode 3: Dim Light + Motion Sensor Mode (Third press)
  The light stays on at a dim 3% brightness throughout the night. When motion is detected, it brightens to 100% for approximately 30 seconds, then returns to 3% dim light after motion ceases.
• OFF (Fourth press)
  Pressing the switch a fourth time will turn the light completely off.

The hybrid power system prioritizes solar energy. The light will operate using stored solar energy first. Once the solar energy is depleted, it will automatically switch to the installed D batteries for continuous operation.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your UME Hybrid Solar Light, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, snow, or debris. A clean panel ensures efficient sunlight absorption and charging.
• Battery Replacement: While the hybrid system extends battery life, eventually the D batteries will need replacement. Replace all three batteries simultaneously with new Alkaline D batteries for best results.
• Weather Resistance: The light has an IP65 waterproof rating, designed to work properly in rain, snow, heat, or cold. No special weather-proofing maintenance is required beyond ensuring secure mounting.
