1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Strongway 3.5-Ton Low-Profile Super-Duty Floor Jack. Before using this product, please read and understand all instructions and safety warnings thoroughly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, personal injury, or death. Keep this manual for future reference.
Important Safety Information
- Always use jack stands: After lifting a vehicle, always support it with appropriately rated jack stands before performing any work. The floor jack is a lifting device only, not a vehicle support device.
- Do not exceed rated capacity: The maximum load capacity for this jack is 3.5 tons (7,000 lbs). Do not attempt to lift loads exceeding this limit.
- Operate on a hard, level surface: Ensure the jack is placed on a firm, level surface capable of supporting the load. Avoid soft or uneven ground.
- Center the load: Position the jack saddle directly under the vehicle's lifting point as specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Keep clear of moving parts: Ensure hands, feet, and other body parts are clear of the jack's moving components during operation.
- Wear appropriate safety gear: Always wear safety glasses and gloves when operating the jack.
- Inspect before each use: Check the jack for any damage, leaks, or loose parts before each use. Do not use if damaged.

3. Setup
Unpacking and Handle Assembly
- Carefully remove the floor jack and its components from the packaging.
- Locate the two-piece handle.
- Insert the lower handle section into the handle socket on the jack. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Align the upper handle section with the lower section and push them together until they securely connect. The quick-disconnect design ensures a firm fit.

Purging Air from the Hydraulic System
Before initial use, it is recommended to purge any air that may be trapped in the hydraulic system during shipping or storage. This ensures optimal performance.
- Turn the release valve counter-clockwise one full turn to open it.
- Pump the handle 10-15 full strokes to force air out of the system.
- Turn the release valve clockwise until it is firmly closed.
- The jack should now be ready for operation. If the jack does not lift properly, repeat the purging process.
4. Operating Instructions
Lifting a Vehicle
- Prepare the vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and place the transmission in 'Park' (automatic) or the lowest gear (manual). Block the wheels that are not being lifted.
- Position the jack: Roll the floor jack under the vehicle, positioning the saddle directly under the manufacturer's recommended lifting point. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific lifting points.
- Close the release valve: Turn the handle clockwise until the release valve is firmly closed.
- Lift the vehicle: Pump the handle up and down to raise the vehicle to the desired height. The dual-piston pump allows for quick lifting. Alternatively, use the built-in foot pedal for hands-free lifting.
- Secure with jack stands: Once the vehicle is at the desired height, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's frame or designated support points. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the jack stands by gently turning the release valve counter-clockwise. Ensure the vehicle is stable on the jack stands before proceeding with any work.

Lowering a Vehicle
- Raise slightly: If the vehicle is on jack stands, slightly raise the vehicle with the floor jack to remove the load from the jack stands.
- Remove jack stands: Carefully remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
- Lower the vehicle: Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle. Do not open the valve too quickly, as this can cause the vehicle to drop rapidly.
- Remove the jack: Once the vehicle is fully lowered and resting on its wheels, remove the floor jack.
5. Maintenance
General Maintenance
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate all moving parts with light machine oil.
- Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris. Wipe down the piston and ram after each use.
- Fluid level: Check the hydraulic fluid level every three months or as needed. To check, lower the jack completely, remove the oil filler plug, and ensure the fluid is level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
- Storage: Store the jack in a clean, dry place with the ram fully retracted.
Inspection
Before each use, inspect the jack for:
- Cracked or damaged welds.
- Leaking hydraulic fluid.
- Bent, loose, or damaged components.
- Damaged or worn rubber saddle pad.
If any damage is found, do not use the jack. Contact Strongway customer support for assistance or replacement parts.
