2.1 Key Features

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure both the UTK-02 tripod and the Smart X gimbal are fully charged. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on each device and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will typically turn off or change color when fully charged.

3.2 Mounting Your Smartphone

1. For UTK-02 Tripod: Gently pull open the phone clamp and securely place your smartphone in the center. Ensure the phone is balanced to prevent tipping.
2. For Smart X Gimbal: Ensure the gimbal is powered off or in standby mode. Pull open the phone clamp and carefully insert your smartphone. Adjust the phone's position until it is balanced and level when the gimbal is powered on. This helps optimize stabilization performance.

3.3 Powering On/Off

• UTK-02 Tripod: Press and hold the power button located on the handle for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again.
• Smart X Gimbal: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the gimbal initializes and the motors activate. To power off, press and hold the power button until the gimbal powers down.

3.4 Remote Control Pairing (UTK-02)

The UTK-02 remote control is typically pre-paired. If re-pairing is needed:

1. Ensure the UTK-02 tripod is powered on.
2. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select the device named 'UTK-02' or similar from the list to connect.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation (UTK-02 Tripod)

• Extending/Retracting: Pull the top section upwards to extend the tripod pole. Push down to retract.
• Adjusting Legs: Spread the tripod legs outwards for stability. Fold them inwards for selfie stick mode.
• Angle Adjustment: The phone clamp can be tilted and rotated manually to achieve desired shooting angles.

4.2 AI Face Tracking (UTK-02)

The UTK-02 features built-in AI for automatic face and body tracking without requiring a separate app.

• Activation: Power on the UTK-02. Position yourself in front of the device. Make an 'OK' gesture with your hand to initiate face tracking. The device will begin to rotate and follow your movements.
• Pause: To pause face tracking, make an 'Open Palm' gesture with your hand. The device will stop rotating.

4.3 Smart X Gimbal Stabilization

The Smart X gimbal provides advanced 3-axis stabilization for smooth video recording.

• Power On: After mounting your phone, press and hold the power button. The gimbal will self-calibrate and stabilize your phone.
• Mode Switching: Refer to the gimbal's specific buttons for switching between different stabilization modes (e.g., Pan Follow, Lock Mode, POV).
• Joystick Control: Use the joystick to manually control the pan and tilt axes of the gimbal.

4.4 Using 1/4" Threads for Accessories (Smart X)

The Smart X gimbal features standard 1/4-inch screw threads for expanding its functionality.

• Accessory Mount: A 1/4-inch thread is located on the left side of the gimbal. This allows for the attachment of external accessories such as LED lights, microphones, or additional phone mounts.
• Tripod Mount: A 1/4-inch thread at the bottom of the gimbal allows it to be mounted onto the included extendable tripod or other compatible tripods for ground-level shooting.
