5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup of your Innsky Incubator:

  1. Place Eggs and Cover: Carefully place the fertilized eggs into the egg tray. Ensure the lid is correctly positioned and secured with the four clasps to maintain temperature stability.
  2. Attach Water Bottles: Fill the provided water bottles with water. Attach one bottle to the LOW inlet on the side of the incubator. The visual water bottle design allows you to monitor water levels without opening the lid.
  3. Connect Power Supply: Plug the power adapter into the incubator and then into a power outlet. The display will light up.
  4. Egg-Turning Test: Perform a manual egg-turning test by pressing the designated button on the control panel to ensure the mechanism is working correctly.
  5. Set Temperature and Check Humidity: Use the control panel to set the desired temperature according to the egg type (refer to the Hatching Calendar or specific egg type guidelines). Monitor the humidity display.
  6. Preheat Incubator: Allow the incubator to run for at least 1 hour to stabilize temperature and humidity before placing eggs inside.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Temperature Control with Airflow Guide

The incubator features a streamlined airflow system to ensure even heat distribution, preventing temperature variations. Maintain a stable temperature as recommended for your specific egg type.

6.2 Humidity Control

The incubator offers three methods for humidity control:

  1. Real-time Display: Monitor humidity levels on the digital display. An alarm will sound for abnormal levels.
  2. Visual Water Bottles: Use the external water bottles for automatic refilling, minimizing the need to open the lid and disrupt internal conditions.
  3. Air Vent: Adjust the air vent to fine-tune humidity levels as needed.

6.3 Automatic Egg Turning

The incubator automatically turns eggs every 120 minutes for the first 18 days of incubation. This simulates natural incubation and ensures even heat distribution. The turning mechanism will automatically stop 3 days before the expected hatch date.

7. Hatching Calendar

The included hatching calendar provides a 21-day countdown and guidelines for key milestones during incubation, such as candling days and when to remove the egg tray for the final 3 days (lockdown period). This helps track the fascinating hatching process.

9. Maintenance

9.1 Cleaning and Storage

  • Disconnect the incubator from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Wipe the surface of the top cover with a wet cloth and disinfectant.
  • Ensure all electrical components remain dry during the cleaning process.
  • Do not immerse any electrical components in water.
  • Clean and air-dry the machine thoroughly after each hatching to prevent bacterial growth.
  • Store the incubator in a cool, dry place when not in use.

9.2 Insulation Foam

If the ambient temperature is below 20°C (68°F), use the provided styrofoam packaging to cover the incubator for heat insulation.

10. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your incubator, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Temperature Fluctuations: Ensure the incubator is placed in a stable environment away from drafts or direct sunlight. Check that the lid is securely fastened.
  • Humidity Issues: Verify water levels in the bottles and ensure the air vent is adjusted correctly. Add water to both A and B tanks simultaneously if higher humidity is needed during the last 3 days.
  • Egg Turning Malfunction: Perform a manual egg-turning test. Ensure the egg tray is correctly installed and free from obstructions.
  • Low Hatch Rate: This can be due to various factors including unfertilized eggs, incorrect temperature/humidity, or improper egg handling. Use the egg candler to check egg viability.
