This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new dash camera system, including the UP02 Hardwire Kit and 64GB SD Card. The A800S is designed to provide high-quality 4K video recording for both the front and rear of your vehicle, enhancing driving safety and providing evidence in case of incidents.

Setup

1. Installing the MicroSD Card

  1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.
  2. Locate the MicroSD card slot on the side of the dash cam.
  3. Insert the 64GB MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing away from the screen until it clicks into place.

2. Mounting the Front Dash Cam

  1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
  2. Apply the electrostatic sticker to the chosen area on the windshield.
  3. Attach the heat-resistant adhesive mount to the dash cam, then firmly press the dash cam onto the electrostatic sticker. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.

3. Installing the Rear Camera (RC06)

  1. Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield, ensuring a clear view.
  2. Connect the rear camera to the front dash cam using the provided cable. Route the cable neatly along the vehicle's headliner and pillars.

4. Hardwire Kit Installation (UP02)

The UP02 Hardwire Kit enables 24-hour parking monitoring. Professional installation is recommended.

  1. Identify your vehicle's fuse box.
  2. Connect the ACC wire (red) to a fuse that is active only when the ignition is on.
  3. Connect the B+ wire (yellow) to a fuse that is constantly powered (even when the ignition is off).
  4. Connect the GND wire (black) to a metal part of the vehicle's chassis for grounding.
  5. Connect the hardwire kit's output to the dash cam's power input.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to power and the vehicle ignition is turned on. To manually power off, press and hold the power button.

2. Video Recording

The A800S records in 4K UHD resolution for the front camera and 1080P for the rear camera, capturing clear and detailed footage.

3. Super Night Vision

Equipped with a Sony IMX415 sensor and F1.8 aperture lens, the A800S provides enhanced night vision capabilities, ensuring clear recordings even in low-light conditions.

4. 5GHz WiFi & App Control

Connect your smartphone to the dash cam via the 70mai app using 5GHz WiFi for faster data transfer. The app allows for live view, video playback, downloading, and settings adjustment.

5. Advanced Driving-Assistance System (ADAS)

The ADAS feature provides real-time voice alerts for potential hazards such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

6. Built-in GPS

The integrated GPS module records driving data such as speed, coordinates, and time, which can be viewed via the 70mai app.

7. Parking Monitoring

With the UP02 Hardwire Kit installed, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle for 24 hours, automatically recording if a collision is detected while parked.

8. G-Sensor & Loop Recording

The G-sensor detects sudden movements or collisions and automatically locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten. Loop recording ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest unlocked files when the SD card is full.

Maintenance

  • Regularly format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important videos before formatting.
  • Keep the camera lenses clean using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Ensure the dash cam is securely mounted to prevent vibrations affecting video quality.
  • Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.

Troubleshooting

Dash Cam Not Powering On

  • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the power source (car charger or hardwire kit).
  • Ensure the car's ignition is on if using the car charger.
  • Verify the fuse connected to the hardwire kit is not blown.

Video Footage is Blurry/Unclear

  • Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth.
  • Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens.
  • Check if the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating excessively.

MicroSD Card Error

  • Format the MicroSD card through the dash cam's settings or on a computer.
  • Ensure the MicroSD card is a genuine Class 10 or U3 card.
  • Try a different MicroSD card to rule out card malfunction.

App Connection Issues

  • Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
  • Ensure you are connecting to the correct 70mai Wi-Fi network.
