3. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and security of your Devo G1 Smart Lock. Follow these steps carefully.
3.1. Check Door Dimensions
Before starting, verify your door's compatibility using the provided measuring cardstock. Ensure your door meets the following specifications:
- Cross Bore Diameter: 2 1/8" or 1 1/2" (54mm or 38mm)
- Door Thickness: 1 3/8" to 2 1/8" (35mm to 55mm)
- Backset: 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" (60mm or 70mm)

3.2. Installation Steps
Step 1: Install the Deadbolt and Strike Plate
Ensure the deadbolt faces upwards and is fully retracted. If your backset is 70mm, rotate the faceplate of the latch 180 degrees to extend its length. Insert the deadbolt into the door edge and secure it with the provided screws.

Step 2: Install the Front Lock Assembly
Ensure the latch is in the unlocked state. Carefully insert the tailpiece of the front lock assembly parallel into the slot of the deadbolt. Guide the wires through the door hole.

Step 3: Install the Mounting Plate
Run the wires from the front lock through the mounting plate. Position the mounting plate against the door, aligning it with the deadbolt. Secure the mounting plate using the appropriate screws (Screw A, B, or C) based on your door's thickness (50-55mm: Screw A, 40-50mm: Screw B, 35-40mm: Screw C).

Step 4: Install the Rear Lock Assembly
Rotate the knob on the rear lock assembly to a vertical position to ensure the door lock is in the unlocked state. Connect the wires from the front lock to the corresponding ports on the interior assembly. Carefully align the rear lock assembly with the mounting plate and secure it with Screw E. Finally, insert Plug D into the designated hole.
