2. Safety Information

  • Always store emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.
  • Ensure the safe is installed on a stable, level surface or securely mounted to a wall/floor to prevent tipping.
  • Keep children and unauthorized individuals away from the safe.
  • Do not attempt to force the safe open if the digital lock malfunctions. Use the emergency key.
  • This safe is designed for security and storage of valuables. While it features robust construction, it is not rated as fireproof or waterproof.

4. Setup

4.1. Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the safe from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. If damaged, contact customer service immediately.

4.2. Battery Installation

The digital keypad requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for operation.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover. The keypad should light up briefly, indicating power.

4.3. Setting the Digital Keypad Code

The safe comes with a factory default code. It is highly recommended to change this immediately.

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge or battery compartment).
  2. Press the reset button. The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
  3. Enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
  4. Press the '#' button to confirm. The safe will beep twice, indicating successful code setting.
  5. Test the new code with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

4.4. Emergency Key Usage

The emergency keys provide manual access to the safe in case of battery failure or forgotten code.

  1. Locate the hidden keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
  2. Gently remove the cover.
  3. Insert an emergency key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
  4. While holding the key turned, rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.

4.5. Mounting Instructions

For enhanced security, it is recommended to bolt the safe to a floor or wall.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
  2. Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled mounting holes on the back or bottom of the safe.
  3. Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through the holes.
  4. Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material.
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided expansion screws.
  6. Ensure the safe is firmly attached and stable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Opening the Safe with Digital Keypad

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  2. Press the '#' button to confirm.
  3. If the code is correct, the indicator light will turn green, and you will hear a beep.
  4. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.2. Opening the Safe with Emergency Key

5.3. Using the Deposit Slot

The safe features a convenient front slot for depositing items without opening the main door.

  1. Locate the deposit slot on the top front of the safe.
  2. Insert cash, envelopes, or small documents into the slot.
  3. Ensure items are fully dropped into the safe compartment.

5.4. Mute Function

To operate the safe silently:

  1. Press the '*' button on the keypad before entering your code.
  2. Proceed to enter your code and press '#'. The safe will operate without audible feedback.

5.5. Dual Alarm System

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system for enhanced security:

  • Incorrect Password Alarm: If 3 consecutive incorrect codes are entered, the alarm will activate.
  • Vibration Alarm: If the safe detects violent vibration or tampering, the alarm will activate.

The alarm will sound for approximately 60 seconds and can be deactivated by entering the correct code or using the emergency key.

6. Maintenance
