2. Safety Instructions

5. Setup and Initial Charging

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Attach Solar Base: The SUNNY ROUND solar LED base is designed to fit securely into the top opening of the MARIEL SMALL lantern. Ensure it is properly seated.
3. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the solar LED base.
   • Solar Charging: Place the lantern in direct sunlight for approximately 8 hours. Ensure the solar panel on top of the base is unobstructed.
   • USB Charging (Optional): For faster charging or during periods of low sunlight, connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the SUNNY ROUND base and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). A full charge via cable takes approximately 5 hours.
4. Placement: Position the lantern in your desired outdoor location. For optimal solar charging, choose a spot that receives maximum direct sunlight during the day.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

• Manual: Press the ON/OFF button located on the SUNNY ROUND solar LED base.
• Remote Control: Press the "ON" button to turn the lantern on, and the "OFF" button to turn it off.

6.2 Adjusting Brightness Modes

The MARIEL SMALL lantern offers three brightness levels, adjustable via the remote control:

• 30% Brightness (60 lumens): Press the "30% / 16H" button on the remote. Provides up to 16 hours of illumination on a full charge.
• 60% Brightness (120 lumens): Press the "60% / 10H" button on the remote. Provides up to 10 hours of illumination on a full charge.
• 100% Brightness (200 lumens): Press the "100% / 8H" button on the remote. Provides up to 8 hours of illumination on a full charge.

6.3 Daylight Mode

The "Daylight" mode allows the lantern to activate its light before complete darkness, ideal for sunset or sunrise transitions. Press the "DAYLIGHT" button on the remote control to activate or deactivate this feature.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the lantern and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the solar panel is free of dust and debris for efficient charging.
• Battery Care: The integrated battery is designed for long-term use. To prolong its lifespan, avoid prolonged storage in a completely discharged state. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged.

• Lantern does not light up:
  • Ensure the solar LED base is fully charged (allow 8 hours in direct sunlight or 5 hours via USB).

  • Verify that the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight.
• Short illumination time:
  • The solar panel may not be receiving enough direct sunlight for a full charge. Relocate the lantern or clean the panel.
  • The selected brightness mode affects battery life (100% brightness consumes more power).
• Remote control not working:
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the lantern.
  • Check the battery in the remote control and replace if necessary.
