2. Setup and Connection

2.1 Package Contents

Before starting, please ensure all items are present:

2.2 Charging the Scanner

2.3 Connecting to a Host Device

The scanner supports two connection methods: 2.4G Wireless and USB Wired.

2.3.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Insert the 2.4G wireless USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
  2. The system will automatically install the necessary drivers (plug and play).
  3. Turn on the barcode scanner. It should automatically pair with the receiver.
  4. Open a text editor or application where you want the scanned data to appear and test by scanning a barcode.

The 2.4G wireless mode offers a transmission range of up to 150 meters (492 feet) in barrier-free environments and up to 50 meters (164 feet) in environments with obstacles.

2.3.2 USB Wired Connection

  • Add Prefix: Insert characters at the beginning of the barcode data. Example: Scanning '123456789' with prefix 'AB' results in 'AB123456789'.
  • Add Suffix: Insert characters at the end of the barcode data. Example: Scanning '123456789' with suffix 'AB' results in '123456789AB'.
  • Add Middle: Insert characters within the barcode data at a specified position. Example: Scanning '123456789' with middle 'AB' at position 5 results in '12345AB6789'.
  • Hide Front-end/Back-end: Conceal a specified number of characters from the beginning or end of the barcode data. Example: Hiding front-end '123' from '123456789' results in '456789'.

These functions are configured by scanning specific setup barcodes provided in the manual.

3.6 Sound and Vibration Settings

The scanner provides audible feedback (beep) and tactile feedback (vibration) upon successful scans. These settings can be adjusted.

4. Maintenance

5. Troubleshooting

  • Distance/Angle: Adjust the distance and angle between the scanner and the barcode.

  • Application Focus: Ensure the cursor is in the correct input field of your application.
